Character assassination just seems dumb in the post-Trump era. The Democrats make stuff up about Republicans. Law enforcement ignores everything about Democrats (ex. Hunter Biden). So, if someone shows up and says “You won’t believe what that guy did to me decades ago ...” it just seems a bit pointless.
What’s the political platform? What are the ideas? Do I support his policies? I’m just not interested in anything else.
Plus, Democrats are immune to character assassination since they have no character to assassinate in the first place.
