“It is devastating to realize that for every person sleeping on the streets tonight, there are 14 vacant homes in our city,”

Those homes are vacant BECAUSE of the people who sleep on the streets. And it’s probably more than just 4,000 of them.

I wonder who holds the loans.

Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Bank of England, Bank of China, REITs, etc. are all “facing issues”. Probably many more as well.

A lot of dominoes seem to be lining up.

Clean up the city, get rid of the homeless, drug addicts, and crime problems and those houses will fill up so fast their heads would spin.

Well if the Bay area would follow the law of economics, not communism, those houses would be filled.

And if you count the number of rooms that are empty in houses that are "occupied," the inhumanity is even worse

At an average of 50 illegals hotbunked in each home, that’s room for 3,000,000. San Francisco alone can accommodate Biden’s illegal alien imports through the first half of next year. And it should.

Detroit deals with the problem of vacant homes by bulldozing them and planting greenery.

This data tells us that landlords are holding out on renting their units, waiting for a market rebound so they can charge more in rent

I doubt that

Stupid, silly people - still spouting the asinine cliche that “homelessness” is just a matter of matching “the poor” with empty houses and apartments.

Its NOT economic!

This is kinda like saying there are cars just sitting in garages while some people have to walk to work. So let’s give the pedestrians those cars!

Is there even one politician in San Francisco who is not a communist?

Comrade Kaprugina: “There was living space for 13 families in this house.”

Dr. Zhivago: “Yes, this is a better arrangement.”

You are correct. Its utterly stupid.

Every month without a paying tenant is lost revenue, especially when taxes and mortgage are due every month, regardless
