This is really sad. Dementia patients lose their peripheral vision. It starts out as “scuba mask vision” and progresses to “binocular vision” as Teepa Snow* explains here:

It looks to me like he has “scuba mask vision” — especially after watching the video posted at #8. See how he has to move his whole head and body to see in a different direction?
*Teepa Snow is a wonderful occupational therapist who does excellent videos on dementia. Lots of tips and tricks for caregivers and helps family members understand better what their loved one is going through. I highly recommend her to any of you who have a loved one suffering from dementia. I learned so much from her.

Yes, I was thinking that before the election — how cruel it was to run a man with dementia for President (not to mention a crime against our country). I have zero use for Biden and detested him way back in the 1990s. But it’s painful to see any dementia patient stood up on stage to make a fool of himself.

It’s a good thing he remembers he remembers to look down for steps. Most do remember to look down, actually. Until one day they get distracted and don’t ... and fall. Dementia is such a cruel disease.

I appreciate what you’re saying and I appreciate your direction to assistance for dementia patient caregivers.
I’m afraid I’ve already done my time in that realm. Took care of my mother for 10 years without help while dementia progressively destroyed her brain and took her life. It changes a person’s perspectives on a lot of things.
One thing I learned is that the sufferer knows that they have a serious mental problem until the very late stages. In the early stages they may be in some denial and in the middle stages they may only have recognition of the situation for a few moments of the day and then forget about it but they know.
For that reason I can’t have any sympathy for Biden while allowing himself to be put in the WH and on top of that knowing he has been a complete scumbag his entire life. He is one of the most disgusting, small-minded, arrogant and cruel people I can think of in politics or any other walk of life.
The fleas on the dog are more cognizant. And nicer critters.
