The great thing about Thatcher is that she was a conservative who was sure in her beliefs. Sadly, what we see too commonly here and abroad are conservatives who attain a higher office and try to adopt liberal positions on some things because they believe it will broaden their popularity. But it is pure conservatism that brings the success that ultimately brings popularity.
