The polls dont back his take. But of course he has to say what he’s saying. He has been or will be paid well for very little work, and he is set for life.

A bad bargain in anybody’s business plan. I realize that being a Congressman confers a great deal of immunity, but for future employment prospects, it rather narrows the scope of opportunities. Lobbying, maybe, or getting a franchise for the hawking and distribution of snake oil, but nothing that is remotely ethical.
