The email doesn’t show “sympathy for insurrectionists.” It shows push back against a pre-conceived political narrative being the basis of an agent’s enforcement of the law.
That treating people who are clearly nothing more than opportunistic rioters, regardless of their political views and motivations, as insurrectionists which would properly be defined as an organized group with defined goals.
IOWs a cop arrests a guy who robs a liquor store for armed robbery he doesn’t start an investigation trying to claim the guy is part of a conspiracy to end the liquor industry.
