Newsweek ^ | Oct 10 2022 | BY JESS THOMSON

In the wake of President Biden's mention of nuclear "armageddon", and Elon Musk tweeting that "nuclear war probability is rising rapidly," it is natural that people have pondered online what they would do, and where they would shelter, in the event of a nuclear war.

All the Dem run cities are the big population centers.

NY
LA
Chicago
Detroit
Philly

Take those out and Republics would rule what’s left for 100 years.

Might be part of God’s plan. He’s done it before.

I miss mean tweets!

We were not threatening nuclear war with Russia.

Our employment was more secure.

Our money and savings were worth more.

Inflation and fuel prices were not threatening to put us the poor house.

On the bright side, if nuclear war wipes us out, at least we don't have to worry about ending up in poverty. Democrats would probably list that as their success.

Brother, if you aren’t afraid you aren’t paying attention. I’ve been Chicken Little since March. Now people are beginning to see the March nightmare that frightened me so badly back then.

Why us the left trying to scare the bejesus out of us?

Because it's easy-peasy to manipulate frighted people.

“ Why us the left trying to scare the bejesus out of us?”

As Tucker warned last week, the Biden admistration is flirting with nuclear war by fighting Russia and opposing any negotiations. Tucker said this is frightening. Is Tucker “the left”?

Sounds like you support Biden’s foreign policy. I don’t I agree with Tucker that it’s putting us in danger of a big war, which might be hard to keep contained to conventional weapons

◄ Revelation 20 ►
Berean Standard Bible Par ▾
Satan Bound

1Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the Abyss, holding in his hand a great chain. 2He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3And he threw him into the Abyss, shut it, and sealed it over him, so that he could not deceive the nations until the thousand years were complete. After that, he must be released for a brief period of time.

4Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years were complete. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

Satan Cast into the Lake of Fire

7When the thousand years are complete, Satan will be released from his prison, 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to assemble them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the seashore.

9And they marched across the broad expanse of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. But fire came down from heavena and consumed them. 10And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, into which the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

I would be very surprised taht this could take direct hits. Russia certainly knows that such exists and would make efforts to bomb, wait 20 minutes, bomb, wait 20 minutes, bomb, wait 20 minutes, etc, knowing how much concrete and steel each bomb would burn through.

My bet is that Alaska would be the best place to be. There are certainly going to be bombs at the bases there, but the state is so huge that it would be very difficult to hit the whole thing.

Fallout is going to be a bitch anywhere you go.

I was just perusing a thread about a Newsweek article that asserted General Flynn praised Putin and the other twerp Medvedev, and called Zelensky a dangerous fool.

LINK: Trump Ally Mike Flynn Attacks Ukraine's Zelensky:'Dangerous Fool'

In the linked article from Newsweek, it said this:

"...Michael Flynn, an outspoken ally of former President Donald Trump, had harsh words for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday.

Flynn previously served as a lieutenant general in the U.S. Army before taking on the role of national security adviser in the early days of the Trump administration. He resigned from the position amid a controversy over his communications with a Russian ambassador and has been generally noted for his strong connections to Russia throughout his various careers.

On Saturday, Flynn appeared on the conservative, pro-QAnon web series, "The Mel K Show," where he discussed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In a clip shared to Twitter by left-leaning pundit Ron Filipkowski, the former Trump official offered strong praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, calling them "bold leaders who have everything at stake in terms of protecting their country." Flynn also derided Zelensky, calling him a "foolish person, a dangerous fool."

However, watching the linked video, General Flynn said this exactly:

"..."...when you see Putin, and a very interesting speech that was just given, literally, in the last couple of days by Medvedev, okay, the former...okay, so Medvedev is another guy in the heirarchy, was the President of Russia for a short period of time, Medvedev's speech was very stern.

And so, we have got to pay attention, because these are not, these are not uh, shy leaders, these are bold leaders who have every, uh, everything at stake in terms of protecting their country. So these fools, these fools, and I said about Zelensky and his statements about nuclear war people can go to the various Telegram and my various social media to see it, that is a foolish person. But what's more dangerous than that is a dangerous fool..."

This is intelligence language, characterizing a leader or how a leader might be viewed, this isn't "strong praise". And he is absolutely correct to call out Zelensky for his foolish and hysterical ramping up of the rhetoric. That is bad enough, but what that does is allow others to fan those flames.

Such as Newsweek. Already fanning the flames of anxiety among the ignorant. The last damned thing we need is people fanning those flames of hysteria. We need to tamp them down.

And cigarettes. Don’t forget the cigarettes - you’ll need them if Dennis Hopper survives.

Seriously, I am downwind from Ft Hood by 100 miles or so. Probably won’t have to worry too much.
