Michael Flynn, an outspoken ally of former President Donald Trump, had harsh words for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday.
Flynn previously served as a lieutenant general in the U.S. Army before taking on the role of national security adviser in the early days of the Trump administration. He resigned from the position amid a controversy over his communications with a Russian ambassador and has been generally noted for his strong connections to Russia throughout his various careers.
On Saturday, Flynn appeared on the conservative, pro-QAnon web series, "The Mel K Show," where he discussed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In a clip shared to Twitter by left-leaning pundit Ron Filipkowski, the former Trump official offered strong praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, calling them "bold leaders who have everything at stake in terms of protecting their country." Flynn also derided Zelensky, calling him a "foolish person, a dangerous fool."

Perhaps, but Freepers have been following the corruption in Ukraine.
Given that lies about Russia, Ukraine, Hunter, Burisma, the Vindmans etc... were at the heart of the illegal coup against Flynn and Trump, one would think every decent American would be HIGHLY suspicious about the propaganda we are told about US neocon involvement in war in Ukraine.
Always relied on Free Republic, but lately it appears it is going the way of Fox. Or maybe many patriots are just so fed up they are taking a back seat to RINOS and libs.

It is an intelligence characterization in my opinion, not “praise”. It may seem like splitting hairs, but I think it is a significant difference.
Also, it is Newsweek. During the Trump Administration, Newseek was all in on “Russia Russia Russia” too. It is good to keep that in mind.

I agree we shouldn’t have pushed nato. I agree this isn’t our fight. I think Putin is our enemy since long before either. I think he is evil and I think he would like to rebuild the ussr. He supports Iran. He supports NK. If Flynn or any conservative praises him I’m done with them. Absolutely unacceptable. If anyone thinks Putin is a good guy I want nothing to do with them.

How dare he attack Saint Zelensky. Hasn’t he gotten the memo that all true Americans are supposed to slobber over his every word, and gush about how great he is, and willingly hand over any amount of money he demands without a single question?
Zelensky is a dangerous fool when he blabs that NATO should have conducted preemptive strikes in Russia.

Like so many other issues the powers that be aren’t brooking anything other than the party line. That is, global climate change is real, masks work to stop spread of Covid and Putin is an evil madman.
