So Russia is winning if their body count is lower than Ukraine’s? Pretty sure that’s not how this works. The Russians need to occupy Ukraine to win, and occupying a foreign country is never easy, horrifically expensive in rubles, lives and political capital. The second the last Russian leaves, they’ll have NATO forces 90 minutes from Rostov. The US killed a lot of Taliban too - and in the end that didn’t matter either.
So you are acknowledging that the Ukrainians are suffering horrendous losses while they are allegedly ‘winning,’ yes?
Oh they're absolutely winning in that they're defeating the Russian Army and saving their country from invasion. Ukraine is not winning in that they're suffering horrendous losses and their country's infrastructure and economy are largely destroyed. Wars are terrible and Putin and his conspirators should hang.

It’s called manpower and it takes manpower in sufficient numbers to hold what is taken. And if your manpower is being depleted in huge numbers, then what you do hold becomes problematic on varying levels.
Can the Ukrainians hold what they have taken in this current ‘push’ or even with another in the near future push?
Remains to be seen, but don’t think the Russians just going to sit and wait and retreat here and there but for so long either.
