The climate changes constantly...its never the same every day.
The frequency of hurricanes has not increased in over 100 years.
Its the Fake News that lets him get away with it.
Seeing things like those charts, put together by someone with both the credentials and the courage to tell the truth, does a lot for my mental well being.
I have studied this issue a lot, and listened to a lot of opinions on it. I have a degree in Chemistry, so the scientifically based information is something that I can follow to a degree, completely separately from the political aspect which, from evaluating the hysterical manner in which those entites seek to sway people’s opinions, I deduced was hogwash back in the Nineties. I also have worked for decades with data, and am privy to some of the ways it can be intentionally or unintentionally presented in a way to buttress one view or another.
But as a Conservative, we are bound to engage in a degree of constant introspection, an ongoing self-examination of our views.
We have to do that.
We are told constantly by media, education, government, and entertainment that we are wrong. Much of that is gaslighting or genuinely believed mistruth delivered fervently by people who are willfully or innocently ignorant who have wholly swallowed whatever information is disseminated to them.
We are forced to a degree of introspection the Left does not feel bound to engage in, but I feel it works to our advantage in the end.
Seeing an article like the one linked, and the images I posted, runs 100% counter to the tsunami of information we get every single day from “authoritative” sources.
When two different sources convey “realities” that are not only diametrically opposed, but mutually exclusive, we ignore an opposing analysis at our peril.
It is what THEY do.
So when I see information like this, that uses real information such as discussion of how hurricanes are and have been defined, how they have been measured and recorded, and historical data showing data using uniform criteria over time, and compare it to the “information” we get from the Left that is largely in the form of assertions such as “Climate Change has made hurricanes more destructive and more frequent”, I feel confident in which of the diametrically opposed and mutually exclusive “realities” I accept as closest to fact.
Right. Just to be clear, I think there exists valid evidence that the earth could indeed be getting warmer. I just don’t think Man is the main cause, and it sure as hell isn’t CO2 levels.
