On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” CNN Senior National Security Correspondent Alex Marquardt reported that the White House is “panicking” over the prospect that OPEC will cut oil production and is engaging in a “furious, last-ditch, wide-scale effort” to lobby against a production cut.

Yup, until the heads of mush feel real pain we can’t right this ship.
Saudi Arabia and Russia are going to reduce oil production, Financial Times reports.
According to the newspaper’s sources, the reduction will amount to 1-2m bpd, but even this may cause a rise in oil prices on the world market. Saudi Arabia is ready to do this despite recent requests from the US to increase production.
Riyadh plans to announce its decision, according to the Financial Times, at this Wednesday’s meeting of OPEC+ members.
Brent crude was already up on the news.
My thinking is that this will adjust down over time as demand declines, when the recession really hits.
Hmm. Understood.
I wish the Peurto Rican luck.
Alaska would still fly the Peurto Rican out to their state to talk about what he could do to help boost production.
They’d even make him a list so he could remember it.
I’m not sure about the rest of the nation, but prices in
California are now at all-time highs.
If the election was over they'd be telling us how higher prices are good for the world, how we can afford it because of the booming economy Brandon has produced, and how higher energy prices actually decrease inflation.
But they know better than to try that sort of BS a few weeks before the midterm elections, so they're trying to lay low and blow smoke.
“Sounds similar to the California refining problem, 6 are down for scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
Gas is 2.00 a gallon cheaper in most areas.”
Where is the pic of the bunny with a pancake on it’s head? What you said makes no sense to me.”
Sorry, should have written “cheaper in most states”.
California has 6 refineries off line, got its own little gas shortage going.
You can look at very recent prices everywhere at gasbuddy.com, right down to specific gas stations.
Taking our Strategic Petroleum Reserve down to nothing might be entertaining for them...
Well this attempt to show North Korea sure didn’t go well.

South Korea missile crash during drill with U.S. panics wary city
A South Korean ballistic missile malfunctioned and crashed into the ground early Wednesday during a live-fire drill with the United States.
Regular $5.78 in rural No. Nevada today.
Also got my early vote mail-in ballot today, which I will hand deliver rather than mail.
Thanks. Yeah, Gavin gave the refineries permission to put
in winter formulas now, evidently all at once.
He doesn’t care. If he can smash the little guys, he feels
like a big man.
Thanks for the gasbuddy tip.
1/2 of the country cannot figure that out.
So they keep voting stupid.
If out of control gasoline prices mean the GOP sweeps Congress, I’ll gladly pay 10 bucks a gallon, at least for the next few months.
To be timed for right after the election. $5 gasoline for Christmas, anyone???
Combine this with the end of the drain on the SPR and prices are really going to jump.
The idiot occupying the White House set all this in motion from Day 1.
I recall that we were exporting oil and gas.
