I share your opinion of RS.

I do believe this is 100% accurate.

I wonder how many more of these kind of files are in the FBI’s closets?

So much easier surveilling celebrities than terrorists, dontcha know.

My parents went and saw Aretha in Vegas years ago and it almost killed my father.

"...almost killed your father"; how so?

My old man was purely classical music guy but he would do anything for my mom, including taking her to see Aretha. He was more Bach, Beethoven etc. Although he would come home with an out of character 45 record like the Beatles Obla-di Obla-da once in a while. Lol.

Aretha’s sound was just offensive to his ears.

God bless him! I imagine he didn’t watch the Grammys in 1998 the night Luciano Pavarotti was too sick to perform-—check this out:

Wow. Not what I expected. The old man might have enjoyed that. He would have said ‘needs more clarinet.’

You’re very welcome! I’m a fan of both — classical and pop. And also soul and gospel. Aretha made her way throgh all of them.
