Retired Gen. David Petraeus predicted Sunday that the U.S., along with NATO allies, would “take out” Russian forces if Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to use nuclear weapons in his war against neighboring Ukraine.
During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” Petraeus told co-anchor Jonathan Karl that western powers have to take Russia’s nuclear weapons threats seriously, noting National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan’s recent remarks that US officials have warned the Moscow of “catastrophic consequences” if the Kremlin deploys nuclear weapons.
“And what would happen?” Karl asked.
“Well, again, I have deliberately not talked to Jake about this. I mean, just to give you a hypothetical, we would respond by leading a NATO, a collective effort, that would take out every Russian conventional force that we can see and identify on the battlefield in Ukraine and also in Crimea and every ship in the Black Sea,” Petraeus replied.

Just a reminder, if Trump was in office, then none of this would be happening. America and the world would be better places. So, someone please explain to me why we should support any effort to deepen the crisis in Ukraine. Each step we take, each word Biden utters, gets us in deeper. This is what you call an anti-pattern. We should be doing the exact opposite. Just another reminder, we never did and still do not have any national interests in Ukraine.

I sort of expect a full-scale nuclear exchange at some point in the next year. “Because they had it coming”.
And, sure, Russia started this, and it’s “their fault”. But getting to the point of a full-scale nuclear exchange with hundreds of millions of dead? Frankly, I think that will be on us.
Millions of innocent people on one side of the scale and saving the lives of those two on the other for their ego trips. Doesn't balance, does it?
I never imagined back in 2016 that a businessman would understand so much about foreign relations. He had zero experience. Compare that to the highly educated people at the State Department with decades of experience. My thoughts on foreign policy were shaped by those talking heads for decades. Not too long ago, the demonkkraps and their media wings went mouth-foaming ballistic about the risk of Reagan getting the US involved in a nuclear war with the USSR. The cultural left even made films about their films, Jackson Browne sang no nukes songs, and Phil Collins had a song/video with a Reagon-like character / puppet waking up with no sense of where he was and pushing the nuclear button.
How times have changed - the leftists occupying the WH, Congress, most of the courts, the media, Hollywood and big tech, with their aged, mentally declining puppet as their front man with his hand on the nuclear button, and talking about nuclear war - and there is only the sound of crickets on the left.

Considering all we had to do to avoid a nuclear exchange was leave Russia alone to clean up its backyard, I would have to agree.
