The main, if not sole function of the Office of the Inspector General is to protect the bureaucracy.
What the letter is actually saying is “you never should have gotten caught. Your texts with Page were stupid and you made us look stupid.
You made it harder for your FBI to engage in its core mission. To wit, never allowing the American people to elect a president that might reduce the money and power of federal law enforcement, and if they dare try, making sure such an evil person cannot govern.”
In the big picture, Stroczk and the fbi failed in that core mission. The false narrative about Russian interference and russian hookers uninating on the president should have been advanced much earlier so a more complianet candidate like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio could have won.
At minimum... The War on Cops was started the day the FBI sent 75 agents to Ferguson to stand with common criminals (in a show of force). The FBI is not only NOT trusted, they have cop blood on their hands and the disgust of most citizens of both parties watching them target conservative Americans.
Yeah if he’s a free man and getting a pension the stern letter is nearly meaningless.
The attempted coup definitely affected the 2018 midterms and limited Trump’s effectiveness the whole term. Mar a Lago is the continuation.
