Thirty former FBI agents, including a retired deputy assistant director, head of counterterrorism and five SWAT team members, have spoken out publicly in support of suspended FBI whistleblower Stephen Friend.
Their heartfelt messages, obtained exclusively by The Post, show a deep and widespread anguish about the politicization of the FBI.
“It’s time to stop the FBI from being the enforcer of a political party’s ideology,” says Ernie Tibaldi, a retired agent from San Francisco. “We need to re-establish the FBI as the apolitical and independent law enforcement entity that it always was.”
He expressed gratitude to Friend “for having the courage to stand up to the corruption that has taken over the leadership of the FBI.”
Many former agents hailed Friend, a SWAT team member in Florida, as a “hero” after he was punished for refusing to participate in what he regarded as unnecessarily heavy-handed SWAT raids over Jan. 6 misdemeanors.
In his whistleblower complaint to the Department of Justice inspector general, Friend alleged that the FBI has been manipulating case-file management in order to falsely inflate the threat of domestic terrorism, and using unconstitutional excessive force against political dissenters.

Yes. Where are the active (even if confidential) agents? As it’s clear many of these oh-so “special agents,” endowned with significant power and authority over American citizens, put their “job” over their duty ... over their oath. (”Just following the orders and directions of their bosses” just doesn’t cut it with me; not when there is this much personal power involved.) Very disappointed with the behavior of the people in this once-highly esteemed agency.
As the Bible says in the End Time Truth will take a beating and few will be true, most following after the benefits of the radical leftists who call right wrong and vice versa. Don’t be surprised that there are few, instead be happy to see even the few take a stand that you know will cost them dearly! May we pray that their numbers increase!
Stop being cynical. If you’d been reading your Bible, you’d be prepared for these days. However, we don’t know that God would not answer our prayers & turn this around and give America another chance. But we have to act! We must act faithfully, be courageous to stand on Truth, to help others make the same decisions because it is right! Pray for righteousness to become a goal of a great people again. It starts with the people, not the government.

Do you disagree that our agencies are not what they used to be? I will have to stand by my statement that they are not, and I believe they are today corrupt to the core but for a few like Mr. Friend. I don’t see that as cynical but rather as truth. I may not like that truth, but that doesn’t change it one iota.
