But I think “Eyepatch McCain” is needless and unwarranted (even if Tucker started it). If any man (or woman) has a disability, including of course from serving in the military, adding a direct reference to that in a derogatory nickname, especially, is IMO poor form.

I used to think like this too. BUT remember in driving class about being dead right? You have the right of way but get T-Boned, you were dead right. It is right treat others respectfully, but when those other people hate you, being right does not help. It's karma, those people like Eyepatch McCain deserve every epithet that can be hurled at them. And Eyepatch McCain, you have to admit, perfectly sums him up.

The problem I have with Crenshaw is he has beaten that eyepatch to death in fishing for sympathy. He stands tall in his anal arrogance projecting “Look at me, I’m a war hero and here is my proof” riding it for all it’s worth giving him the permission to be the worse of Rinos without apology. I have one eye. I wore an eyepatch for a time but I found it took people aback and even scared little children. I don’t wear one now. I get more understanding looks without the scare or intimidation. I often where clear lenz sunglasses which makes me look almost normal. Do you ever see Crenshaw where eye or sunglasses? He’s a primdonna

He should turn a blind eye to the “alt”right.

If the first words out of their mouths are complaints about being called ‘RINO’ and ‘establishment’ and ‘globalist,’ rest assured they are and they are probably about to lie to you.

He’s exactly the kind of Establishment RINO we need to purge from the party.

Good luck with that:

The popular congressman captured nearly 75 percent of the vote despite facing three primary challengers and is projected to easily win reelection in November.”

I disagree. It’s a name that perfectly describes him. He’s a scheister. And like McCain, he has and will use his service as a shroud to protect himself.

All true but we are going to need the votes of a lot of weak and stupid GOP voters to remove him. The kind of folks that take offense to “Eyepatch McCain” no matter how warranted it is.

“Y’all quoting my second sentence in disagreement are leaving out the context of my first and/or third sentences:”

If he wants respect for military service and an Eyepatch in the Republican Party (or respect at least from conservatives), he can act like a conservative (particularly being from a bright red district in Texas).

If he simply leverages the above to help in tearing down the ONLY credible opposition party in the US, then he’s fair game, Eyepatch or not.

In THIS CASE, we now have an EXCELLENT nickname for him, as there is literally NO WAY he can shake it off - and the fact that he’s bitching about that nickname tells us it’s working.

Keep in mind, McCain spent decades in the Senate (from a then very conservative state) and nearly made it to the White House. Should we, as you suggest, sit back and let another FAKE CONSERVATIVE use his past to take power over us?

It’s a bummer McCain didn’t also wear an Eyepatch, as at least we may have been able to STOP HIM much earlier.

“Disagree. He deserves the moniker. It identifies him.”

And he EARNED it. All he needed to do from that district was simply ACT like a conservative, even if hated our side. After all, 80% of the Senate GOP knew enough to ACT like they liked Trump (even though they hated him), because they knew the cost of trying to oppose Trump.

By the way, has anyone asked Eyepatch McCain whether he’s good with the 800 or so Jan 6th protesters now being in jail for 20 months, and counting? I don’t remember Eyepatch speaking out against it...but I do remember Eyepatch blaming Trump for Jan 6th.

“If the first words out of their mouths are ‘RINO’ and ‘establishment’ and ‘globalist,’ rest assured they are probably right.”

Often it’s not, but it is DEFINITELY the case with this guy. We had given him the benefit of the doubt, but his first move in Congress was to team up with the Democrats on Red Flag laws. After that, he has attacked conservatives, non-stop - no different than MCCAIN.

"Jon Bel Edwards a Republican? That’s news!"

Not what I said, which was that Edwards trafficked his military record and anti-abortion positions to sell himself as an "acceptable to Louisiana" conservative in spite of his Democrat label. Most voters viewed him as a throwback to the era of the "blue dog" Democrats.

Too bad he lost his eye in service to his country. But as a congressman he has been a butt boy for the left. Too bad he wasn't primaried, he is the male version of Liz Cheney and will eventually meet her fate.Texas voters have to wise up and dump the douchebag.

What a shame. He started out so well, too. I thought he was going to be one of the stronger leaders early on.
