People often seem to not want to think for themselves any more. They do whatever the “authorities” tell them, from getting an ineffective “vaccine” to heeding warnings. It would be nice if the weather people, especially on the weather channel, would just give the facts, the probabilities, all the information, and let people just decide based on that.

But of course, they don’t teach people to think for themselves any more, and in fact, want everyone to do whatever their masters in the government tell them to do. Not saying everyone is like that, of course, but it is more and more common. Look how many people parrot the “carbon is bad” narrative, with no really substantial evidence to back it. They just say its settled science and carry on.

Anyway, my rant is getting away from the weather situation. Lots of people will be looking at some horrible conditions in areas like Ft Myers, while people along the Atlantic coast prepare to endure whatever a reconstituted hurricane might bring them.

Me, in eastern Tennessee, I’m just hoping for a little bit of rain (my sister offered me all the rain I want from Jacksonville).

I have noticed that, too.

As a meteorologist, I have no use for the likes of Cantore who sensationalize everything. It gives the NWS and meteorologists a bad name and is what causes people to not take them seriously.
