Your Right—I have never lived though a hurricane—But I have though several huge Earthquakes here in California. Your right to point out I should just turn the station or watch an old movie if I dislike the endless coverage of the Florida Storm. I understand and apologize to those suffering in Florida. Unlike Florida, that has a Governor who cares, in California we have one that doesn’t give a Rat’s arse about the people of his state.
Apology accepted.
Thanks again to NN for the thread. What actually happens here is information from other websites like Mike's weather page, storm2k, NHC, NOAA all gets posted and shared - so many don't have to go hunting for forecast tracks, model runs, storm surge estimates and the like.
For the most part, no one here is regurgitating Network or Cable News, TWC, or even Accuweather garbage.
During a big storm, A NN thread really does become a valuable resource - an underrated one for sure.
Even though I don’t live in California now, when we had earthquakes or fires or mudslides, I didn’t appreciate caustic remarks. There are still many good and decent people in California.
I live in Los Angeles now and all of my 81 years.
I have lived through every major quake since 1941!
You are so right about our Governor not caring for anything but himself!
Thank you for your apologies. It is bad there now and I’m praying for for families and good folks in Florida.
I appreciate and accept your apology. It’s not an easy thing to do. I unfailingly hope the best, pray for you in California through fires and earthquakes because no matter the cause, it’s a hell of a thing to feel powerless when nature gets rowdy.
