Well you can’t make people do what they should, and apparently they think they’re safe enough knowing some of their other neighbors are staying. So that’s that.

They can give you a storm surge estimate based on your address. You can subscribe for $5/month during hurricane season. If I remember correctly, I got info immediately after signing up.

I have a good friend who had a tackle shop on N. ft. myers built inside of a trailer. I fear,it may not be there for long.
all that hysteria about Tampa....looks like the worst of the eye wall is gonna hit south of Naples....alot of nothing but swamps down there....gonna be a big rain event...thats it.
that high pressure dome in the Gulf appears to be really pushing the storm eastward.

Local news reported pressure down to 939mb, with a lot of lightning around the eye. There is very good news—it appears the forecast for a stalled storm has dissipated.
