Hmmm. Your buddies: That implies you were all around the same age. THEY were called up...didn’t have a choice. You know what’s missing from your comment? YOU! Your buddies were called up; but if you had, as well, you would have said, “WE were called up.” But, you didn’t say that. So, you either enlisted (didn’t wait to get drafted), skated on a deferment, or hauled ass to Canada. Your profile page is blank. So, which was it?

I was a married woman with 3 little ones when my buddies and cousins were drafted and/or signed up.

My buddies are work buddies and my cousins were younger than me. I'm 78...mother of 3 and grandmother to 5.
