I don’t know whether Putin will use nuclear weapons in the Ukraine or not. I suspect that even he hasn’t made his mind up. Still, I know what he will do: he will never cease his quest to expand Russian territory. Moldova, the Balkan States, Poland, and Finland are next, and why not? Given this, neither fear nor courage saves us, to quote T.S. Elliot. It does not matter if we believe Ukraine is yet another neocon adventure, or a globalist ploy, war is coming, if only because we are not in control of Russia’s ambition. It matters not whether we wish to be involved or wish to stand aside, war is coming as surely as it was in 1914 or 1939. The readiness is all.
United States needs to go deeper in debt (already $31 Trillion) to fight Putin’s expansion goals. Why not? We can never pay any principle of the debt anyways, so what does it matter if the debt goes to 50, 75, 100 Trillion?
He keeps threatening to, and we should take him seriously on that
..., if only because we are not in control of Russia’s ambition.
________
No one is control of anyone else’s *ambition*. Nor are ambitions in & of themselves evil until it turns out that they are directed at control/destruction/forced *extension* of others.
If *everyone* would simply leave each other alone, this would not even be a consideration.
I pray that the continued escalation & drum beat against the latest boogeyman serves to unmask the real perpetrators and their particular *ambitions*.
