To: Red Badger
It's evident that Putin is obsessed with taking over parts of Ukraine and is angered by the growing presence of NATO. Whether these are rational thoughts at this point is irrelevant. What matters is his willingness and ability to destroy whatever he deems to be a threat.

There's no doubt that Russia would lose the most in the case of a nuclear conflict. But is it going to come to that? Does it have to come to that?

My fear is that there are voices in the leadership of the US that are comfortable with destroying Russia once and for all even if it costs millions of innocent lives.

During the fall of the Soviet Union, many were worried about their nukes falling into the wrong hands.

The General in charge would not allow them to be used.

I hope there is another sane person in charge of them today and would not allow Putin to blow the world up..................
