The Chinese only have a dozen LST like ships. They will never make it across the straits. Submarines will feed like sharks on the invasion fleet. And, when those subs disappear into the depths, there will be no way to tell whose subs they are?

Taiwan, Japan, the US, Singapore, Vietnam, India, South Korea?

And, someone will begin seizing Chinese tankers as they move through the Straits of Malacca. That will be the end for the Chinese Economy.

Unless, of course, the Chinese start throwing nukes.

They don’t need LSTs. They’ve modified Hundreds of large commercial freighters for dual use commerce and invasion transports. Been going on decades.

You said, ". . . there will be no way to tell whose subs they are?

I kept telling my buddy who lives at nearby Taiwan's stait he wants communist party implode, if the chicom really want to conquer remaining islands of the nationalists Chinese that would have happened several years ago or 10 years ago or 20 years ago. Chicom's don't know what Taiwanese have: nuclear weapons or neutron bombs, 1.200 mile balistic missiles, long-range standoff weapons some nukes (or neutron bombs) dropped or launched from 40,000 feet by F-CK fighter-bombers hundreds of miles, before chicom's even try a operation sea lion Taiwanese also know it from Taiwan's deep penetration operatives inside the mainland whatever or more sophisticated than that, as far as I know peaceful Chinese in the mainland China are tired of the communists' rule, they want to see the end of the communists' rule.
