Brandon still WON'T address the border....and places all blame on the states.

It will be addressed when the administration changes.

Lindsay Graham desperate for attention now playing the race card for his ten minutes. If you wanted to help the dems get traction there is only one issue you would bring up,abortion.
Look at any poll and you will see its the only issue they still have that has not bee taken away from them,so what does Lindsay Graham do he introduces new legislation that will go nowhere in this regime, anyone with a half of brain would have waited until after the first of the year when we at least have both houses but if you are desperate for attentions and a former McCain buddy who was anything but pro Trump you would do what graham did.Hes no friend of conservatives. He's an idiot.
He's on now on Fox News Sunday trying to make his case.
He could have talked about any one of a dozen other issues but he picks the one that the left has traction on,hes a traitor to the party.

Good morning, AB. I failed to respond to one of your posts last week. I had prepared a lengthy response, but it disappeared into the ether. Rather than try to go back and try to reconstitute it, I will just answer your question about the number of civilian deaths so far in the Ukraine war.

Using UN data the numbers thru Sept 4, 2022 are:

Total civilian casualties from 24 February to 4 September 2022

From 24 February to 4 September 2022, OHCHR recorded 13,917 civilian casualties in Ukraine: 5,718 killed and 8,199 injured.

-- a total of 5,718 killed (2,214 men, 1,526 women, 151 girls, and 186 boys, as well as 35 children and 1,606 adults whose sex is yet unknown)

-- a total of 8,199 injured (1,693 men, 1,250 women, 179 girls, and 245 boys, as well as 211 children and 4,621 adults whose sex is yet unknown)

In Donetsk and Luhansk regions: 7,853 casualties (3,396 killed and 4,457 injured)

On Government-controlled territory: 6,279 casualties (3,072 killed and 3,207 injured)

On territory controlled by Russian armed forces and affiliated armed groups: 1,574 casualties (324 killed and 1,250 injured)

In other regions of Ukraine (the city of Kyiv, and Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Volyn, and Zhytomyr regions), which were under Government control when casualties occurred: 6,064 casualties (2,322 killed and 3,742 injured)

Most of the civilian casualties recorded were caused by the use of explosive weapons with wide area effects, including shelling from heavy artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, missiles and air strikes.

OHCHR believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration. This concerns, for example, Mariupol (Donetsk region), Izium (Kharkiv region), Lysychansk, Popasna, and Sievierodonetsk (Luhansk region), where there are allegations of numerous civilian casualties.

Putin and Xi met at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in Uzbekistan last week. SCO is a Eurasian political, economic and security organization. In terms of geographic scope and population, it is the world's largest regional organization, covering approximately 60% of the area of Eurasia, 40% of the world population, and more than 30% of global GDP.

A global realignment is taking place that could threaten the dollar as the world's reserve currency. Is it any wonder that the sanctions against Russia are not working.

Our local morning radio talk show host just made it in to see the Queen, lying in state. He was in line for 13.5 hours, since 1:00 am this morning. It’s been ‘interesting’ to see his pics of London as he’s made his way closer & closer. The people in line have been very friendly (as is he) so I’m sure he’s had some conversations he’ll be telling us about when he gets back home. He’s dressed in a suit/tie ... showing his respect.

Btw, this guy is VERY conservative .... he worked as an intern for Reagan at his ranch, back in the day. He’s been verbally ‘killing’ the DemonRat Mayor in the City ... everything the mayor touches has turned to 💩. My solemn vow is not to set foot in the City again (maybe never) until he’s gone & some other things have happened to repair/reverse the horrible damage he’s done to the City & it’s historical past - some of what he’s done is actually illegal, but no one calls him on it. It’s really such a shame that ‘inner city’ people repeatedly vote in these horrible DemonRats & thus bring about their own self-destruction .... Lori Lightfoot is another example of this.

Hundreds of illegals die crossing the border. A few months ago a five year old and three year old were raped.

Maybe the bodies of dead illegals could be flown to Chuck Todd's house and Peter Baker's home. Caskets placed on their yards... no, too rough.

Send the caskets to the New York Times and NBC lobbies (following all Health Department rules). It's onlya few hundred deaths a year. They won't mind. Dead bodies can't have 'hurt feelings' so that excuse is off the table...

OK, that's too rough. Send the caskets to Martha's Vineyard. It's 'the elites' that benefit from cheap labor - keeps wages down for working class and middle class citizens. Just ask Dick Durbin. Hey Dick Durbin - how many illegals are working in Chinese owned food processing plants? Lots. Scabs to keep wages down. And more...

Let's bring in 10,000 English speaking journalists from other countries. People willing to work for half what American journalists work for... and 'bureaucrats' from foreign countries - - and lawyers - lawyers in exchange for citizenship. I'd be nice for Americans to have access to lawyers willing to work for $40 an hour. Or save taxes by paying government employees replaced by illegals working for less - much less. No more 'unions' just cheap illegal scabs. The people who benefit from cheap labor are the elites - so yeah, send the caskets to Martha's...

I just posted this as a thread - Neil Oliver, one of his best.

https://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/4094310/posts?page=1

First couple of paragraphs:

[Transcript] – It is hard to think the unthinkable – but there comes a time when there’s nothing else for it. People raised to trust the powers that be – who have assumed, like I once did, that the State, regardless of its political flavour at any given moment, is essentially benevolent and well-meaning – will naturally try and keep that assumption of benevolence in mind when trying to make sense of what is going on around them.

People like us, you and me, raised in the understanding that we are free, that we have inalienable rights, and that the institutions of this country have our best interests at heart, will tend to tie ourselves in knots rather than contemplate the idea those authorities might actually be working against us now. I took that thought of benevolent, well-meaning authority for granted for most of my life, God help me. Not to put too fine a point on it, I was as gullible as the next chump.

A couple of years ago, however, I began to think the unthinkable and with every passing day it becomes more and more obvious to me that we are no longer being treated as individuals entitled to try and make the most of our lives – but as a barn full of battery hens, just another product to be bought and sold – sold down the river.

Let me put it another way: if you have been driving yourself almost demented in an effort to think the best of those in charge – those in senior positions in government, those in charge of the great institutions of State, those running the big corporations – but finding it increasingly impossible to do so … then the solution to the problem might be to turn your point of view through 180 degrees and accept, however unwillingly, that we are … how best to put this … being taken for a ride.

When you find a stranger’s hand on your wallet, in the inside pocket of your jacket … rather than trying to persuade yourself he’s only making sure it doesn’t fall out … it might be more straightforward to draw the conclusion you’re in the process of being robbed.

Once the scales fall from a person’s eyes, the resultant clarity of sight is briefly overwhelming. Or it is like being handed a skeleton key that opens every locked door, or access to a Rosetta Stone that translates every word into a language instantly understood.
