Moscow and Beijing will soon sign a deal on delivery of "50 billion cubic metres of gas" per year via Power of Siberia 2 pipeline, which will run partly via Mongolia, says Energy Minister Alexander Novak.

A Russian pipeline to China will replace the Nord Stream 2 gas link to Europe, abandoned amid the Ukraine conflict, Moscow's Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said.

Asked in an interview with Russian television channel Rossiya-1 on Thursday if Russia would replace the European Nord Stream 2 with the Asian Power of Siberia 2, Novak said: "Yes."

Keep talking tough and it will be modern German panzers smashing the Russian army to pieces in Ukraine and not the old Soviet tanks Ukraine current deploys.

About your belief that Europe took President Trump's advice:

Germans Laughed at Trump for Warning About Dependence on Russian Energy.

Europe screwed themselves.

Any country that takes Russia’s word for anything deserves what they end up with.

Germany might as well send those tanks to Ukraine now.

We’re one C-17 flight away from every Russian military base in occupied Crimea being a smoking ruin. Putinists best be careful what they ask for. They might get it.

So, China will become dependent on Russian Gas instead of Europe.

Russia has shown themselves willing to use the gas for political purposes.

Do you realize that I brought figures for exple and you are still wrong?
Selling 1 unit for 50% of the $4000 market price is more profitable that 10 units for $175. And this is even before the fact that the costs of producing and shipping 1 unit are much lower.
Also it needs to be taken into account that more that 10% is coming to China and the discount is nowhere near 50%.

There were big discounts on oil for India and China, but they have almost evaporated by now, because there is a shortage of oil and they are bidding against each other.

Not to mention Russia is expanding the LNG infrastructure

It’s been six months. What’s the hold up? And I thought LNG was cost prohibitive? Now it’s the delivery method of choice? Interesting.

That was prohibitive a year ago s now bringing super profits. What is not to like unless you are a buyer? Then you are forked. Europe is done by the US LNG lobby. They are Latin America in a decade.

No worries, Germans have saved all those winter clothes used during WW II invasion of Russia.

I take no one’s word in isolation.

I listen and read the analysis of many, review applicable history, analyze the chosen locutions with allowances for linguistic differences, apply the life lessons learned from 80 decades on this planet, and draw conclusions that I then check and recheck against reality.

Germany can send whatever to Ukraine and it is just more expensive-to-reproduce materiel down the oubliette. From what we’ve all observed, they have not an iota of self-awareness and a fanatical adherence to the globo narrative, regardless of what their erstwhile constituents desire.

America has used foreign wars for political purposes. Any country can do it.

America has used foreign wars for political purposes.

Practically a truism.

Wars are political.

Europe is following Trump’s advice on turning away from Russia, I think your source is a few years outdated.

Just for fun, let’s wait a while and see whom collapses because of energy issues first, and whose policies backfire the bestest, Europe or Russia.

Indeed. And the Make Russia Great Again crowd hates President Trump for putting the interests of the US above all.
