In the worst case, if he gets elected but can’t serve, the governor of PA, who may be a Democrat, will select the replacement.
In fact, PA Democrats may be banking on that, for their people to blindly vote for Fetterman because he’s a Democrat, and then vote for the Democrat governor, so that a Democrat governor can appoint Fetterman’s replacement, if needed.
