“We now honor my father in his new role as King Charles III,” said Prince Harry in a statement paying tribute to his late, great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Twelve short words, but ones that carry enormous significance coming from the man who has spent the past two years publicly dishonoring his father.
A week ago, I was told by someone very close to Charles that he was “deeply hurt and utterly bemused” by his younger son’s behavior toward him.
In a series of bitter, angry attacks since quitting the royal family and Britain, Harry has accused his father of bad parenting, cutting him off from financial support, and inflicting “genetic pain and suffering” on him that has damaged his mental health.
He and his wife, Meghan, have also hurled endless other incendiary bombs at the royals, branding them a bunch of callous, uncaring racists.
Only last week, Meghan was at it again, telling The Cut magazine that “by existing, we were upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy” and threatening that she had a lot more toxic mud to sling if it suits her.
She added that Harry had “lost” his father in the process of leaving the royal family, though her aides later said she was in fact talking about her own father, Thomas, whom she’s disowned.
But the truth is, Harry has been treating Charles in a similarly dismissive way, making a mockery of the couple’s supposed commitment to “compassion.”
And he’s written a supposed “tell-all” book due to be published later this year or early next, in which he will reportedly rip into the royals yet again in what Harry says will be a “first-hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
Really?

All of Britain should send Harry a small roll of duct tape, the better to put over Meghan’s mouth when she sees an open microphone.
She’s a financially backed agenda driven leftist with business ties to Oprah and her “group.”
If we can’t watch her behavior and trajectory and not figure out what this is really about, then we’re not paying attention.
Harry can’t rein in his wife. But he can leave her.
Well, so is the royal family, and they are degenerates too.
What is “genetic pain and suffering”?
That and a pair of pants to put on. It’ll be the first time he’s worn them in that relationship.
I’m not sure his father deserves honoring. And Harry was an out Nazi long before he met Megan.
Better to live alone than to compromise everything you are about in order to please a narcissist.
there. fixed it.
I thought Harry wanted nothing to do with his royal family? Seems he wants things both ways.
“and rein in your royals-trashing, trashy, gold digging, status whoring wife”
Man, her act is getting very old. Seems she'll do anything for attention.
Meghan Markle was Prince Harry's revenge against the Royal Family for how they treated his mother.
“”“We now honor my father in his new role as King Charles III,” said Prince Harry in a statement paying tribute to his late, great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II”””
The folks at NY POST need some educating on genealogy. QEII is Harry’s grandmother.
Honoring his dad is a one day thing. Honoring his mom goes deeper. Morgan notes, though, that the tribute was really to his grandmother, and if Piers Morgan really wants the prince or count or duke or whatever he is to change his behavior, he ought to make it more a matter of his grandmother’s memory and not of his father’s reputation.
King Charles III should offer Prince Harry a job suited to his abilities: Governor-General of Pitcairn Island. It should make Meghan happy because the inhabitants are "People of Color" (of part-Polynesian ancestry).
