If you have the Russia/Ukraine situation figured out you are a much better politician than I am. It’s incredibly complex.

Old article, but it really explains their long game:

Winning Without Fighting: The Chinese Psychological Warfare Challenge

President Trump understood this, and was the only President in modern history to challenge them on their Economic Warfare.

That's why they used Covid-19 and money funneled to Obama/Biden to get rid of him.

We need him back to ensure this doesn't happen:

In the war of 2034, China has won the first battle without firing a shot

Every major power in the world today--ours included (or especially, if your major care is about the USA) has certain severe weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

One thing I learned in the Ukraine war is no one is ten feet tall.

I used to think the Russians were seriously dangerous. Now I see they've had weaknesses all along.

We do, for sure, no debate from me.

However, ignoring those weaknesses can lead to defeat, so we better start learning, or we'll get the same lesson Russia is learning.

That applies to the Chinese, too.

Absolutely.

But there’s simply no doubt the Russians never, in a million years, believed it would be this hard.

I’ve worked at Air Staff for 12 years. Not that I was the strategic mind in charge (far, far from it! more like assistant, minor, vice underling), but military planning is a thing I’ve been in and seen with my own eyes, and this war did not go according to the plan the Russian staff had laid out.

I shouldn’t mislead anyone—it was not my intention.

I worked FOR Air Staff, not on it. I was a technical leader for the intel folks, but I did have to pull some shifts as the gopher on the battle staff team, too.

Still, I kept my eyes and ears open and watched many things go down as they happened.

As long as the tech is running right, there’s really not much to do but observe.

How virtuous of you to support the shutting down of someone’s freedom of speech.

Getting so tired of Virtue Grandstanding by Conservatives. Soon we will hear people like bert called deplorable. Argue the points not the old tired, racist, sexist, homophobe, namecalling to shut down discussion.

How about one thread that does not worry about words.

Yes, history does repeat itself.

It took Lincoln a few years to replace the Political generals with the Military General.

WWII - Once again same - Paton

I believe these things go in cycles and generally only under sever stress do you HOPEFULLY end up with the right people running the show.

Trump being that person currently, and the current occupants of D.C, being the equivalent of the old Roman senators who killed Ceaser - E tu Brute - these being the RINOs and the Uniparty/bureaucracy

I don’t think she was doing that, Bray.

On the other hand, NN, I don’t think Bert was purposely doing racist derision, either.

It’s a good topic to debate and point out the rules, etc. If not just to clear the air.

But let’s not act like anyone has power to stop anyone from saying something here. Only JimRob has that.

Every country on this list, including Mexico, doesn’t have to grow so much if they were only eating it themselves.

No, they grow that much, especially the top ten, so they can sell it to others.

That’s the thing about markets and products—simple supply and demand.

When global conditions restrict free trade, then both sellers and buys suffer.

That is why it would be good for the whole world if the current conflict in Ukraine be resolved soon. For the hungry AND the sellers.

Just a bit tired of the, I am for free speech except x,y and z. Soon, you begin looking like Facebook making sure nobody is offended by A through Z.

How about we have one thread that allows offending people with words since everyone here are adults. His post was a little rough but to call it racist is a stretch.

Last year people were wanting me to shut up about the vax and unfortunately it turned out I was right, is that where we want to go?

How many websites have been destroyed by the PC Police?

wow heavy duty read there. But, as you say it’s all there. I agree we need Trump to counter an operation like this. It’s now apparent why they need to own the media. Thank God for what we do here.No one gets a free ride in the chicom world which is why they want everyone here to think govt. provides everything for free, we relax our guard and they strike. Quite the read.

This map shows the massive gas pipeline that Russia and China are building

Power of Siberia” — as the portion located in Russia is called — began delivering natural gas to northern China in December 2019, according to Chinese state media.

In China, the pipeline runs down the eastern side of the country, past the capital city of Beijing and down to Shanghai.

State-owned energy companies, Russia’s Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corp., have been building the pipeline for about eight years.

Although Russia has reportedly invested $55 billion into its pipeline deal with China, natural gas imports through the pipeline have only totaled $3.81 billion since December 2019, according to China customs data as of June, accessed through Wind Information.

The pace of Chinese purchases picked up in the first half of this year — nearly tripling from a year ago to $1.66 billion, the data showed.

But China’s gas imports from Turkmenistan during that time were far higher at $4.52 billion, up 52% from a year ago, the data showed.

Natural gas remains a tiny fraction of China’s energy imports, which are mostly of crude oil.

I think the war in Ukraine is almost over and peace will be made. Why do I say this? Because Putin and Xi are smart men and deep down know that the price of conquering, let alone hanging onto parts of, Ukraine are not worth it and not going to happen. Failure is actually an option. They'll just call it "Teaching the West a lesson."

I call it wishful thinking. Russia will never give up Crimea and it will continue to defend the Donbas. The Crimea is quite different in one key respect: most of its people, being Russian, prefer to be in Russia. In fact, one can argue that it is in the political interest of Ukrainian nationalists to have Crimea in Russia. Without the votes from Crimea, Viktor Yanukovich would never have been elected president.

Lobster right now is $10.50 or higher.
Here’s a good article about the lobster fishermen.
(for the PC, that term means ALL who fish for lobster)

I LIVE up here, and cannot afford them!
Article is from 2021, but the prices are the same or even higher, now.

If the Chinese seize Taiwan, they will control the chip supply. No one knows if Taiwan will offer stiff resistance to an attempted takeover. It appears Beijing was employing a blockade scenario a a reaction to the Pelosi visit.

Overall, China is Taiwan's most important trading partner, followed by the United States. More than 42% of Taiwan's exports go to China, from where Taiwan gets around 22% of its imports. In 2020, goods and services worth $166 billion were exchanged between the two countries
