The Queen is under medical supervision after doctors became concerned for her health, Buckingham Palace revealed today, as Prince Charles, Camilla and Prince William raced to Balmoral to be with her.

Her Majesty's immediate family members have been informed about the downturn, leading to her two main heirs going to her bedside amid escalating fears for the monarch's wellbeing.

A royal spokesman said: 'Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.'

Were the other grandchildren going, or does he get special treatment?

I was guardian for three aunts and uncles, my mom, my mother in law, and a couple other elders in my life.

No matter the situation, we learned to heed the quiet comments from the nurses and doctors in charge of their medical care. Those front line folks have seen the process hundreds of times. When they say, “you should consider….”, you should listen.

If you are “involved” these folks are your allies. For a lot of drop-in caregivers, they think these caregivers are just trying to turn over the bed for the next cash cow. I despise the drop-in relatives.

Agree on every point. Even if they weren’t a “match,” Charles made vows to Diana. He was obligated to keep them. He chose not to rather quickly. It doesn’t matter if she was “emotional” or whatever pseudo psychological label given to her, he broke his vows…constantly. It was immoral of him.

You can’t do that and expect good outcomes or that your children won’t be harmed.

Duh. Obviously he gets some stuff from his mother’s side! That says nowt about the father.

That curly ginger hair is why people have wondered how close Diana was to James Hewitt. Also, he seems to have totally escaped male pattern baldness on the father’s side... A trait that’s followed the Windsors from the 19th century at least.

When it finally happens, it will seem like the end of much more than an ‘era’. She stood for so very much, important ideals that we’ve lost in so many ways.

Meghans presence would have been a horrible spectacle. Glad somebody got a “clue”.

“God save the Queen.”

Amen.

With all the changes in society over her lifetime I imagine Queen Elizabeth II has bitten her tongue any number of times.
She has seen empires fall, she outlived the Soviet Union, saw the radio fall to the television and the television fall to the internet. She has rubbed elbows, so to speak, with Greats like Churchill, Thatcher and Reagan. Endured legends in their own minds like Obama and Boris Johnson. Seen London bombed during the blitz, seen it rebuilt.
All in all Her Majesty has had a good run during a most difficult era.

Unlike those who call the Monarchy an outdated system that should be abolished, I say let the people of the United Kingdom decide. Evidently they like it well enough. As a US citizen it will be strange not having HRM Queen Elizabeth II to look to as a symbol of England and the UK.

You’ve told me before about your friendship with Charles. You know the man far better than I so I take your word concerning his character and beliefs. May he have the strength to be half the Monarch his mother has been.

Prayers for Her Majesty the Queen and her family. And for you my friend.

“Yes, the Prince of Wales will become King when Her Majesty passes away.
.... He’s a good and decent man, dedicated to his country and the Commonwealth.”

During most of my career I worked with Brits and other nationals on a daily basis. By and large, Brit female employees had a very favorable view of Charles. On one hand, the younger set viewed him as THE, though unobtainable, catch while for older ladies, he was a favored nephew. He strengthened these views by honorable service as a pilot and subsequent acts of public service.
When Diana came on the scene, it does appear the media set out to diminish his standing. By my reckoning, they were successful. Media being media, I’s say veracity was the least of their motivation.

I wish “All Hands Godspeed”.

I’m thinking that she’s had some form of dementia for quite a while now.

Much like our POTATUS.

If so, like our Deep State, the UK’s has not been honest about it.

There hasn’t been any evidence of dementia at all.

But she’s 96 years old! The body finally gives out.

Mary, her mother lived to be +100.

No; her mother was Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Windsor, who lived to the age of 101. Bowes-Lyon was the daughter of Scottish nobles. From the time that the present Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne in 1952 at age 25, her mother was then known as "Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother."

The current Queen Elizabeth II's paternal grandmother was Mary of Teck, who lived to the age of 85.

Elizabeth II is not "the second" because her mother was named Elizabeth, but because there was a previous Queen Elizabeth in the British line of succession. Elizabeth Tudor, the daughter of Henry XIII, reigned from 1558 to 1603.

Indeed. I agree 100%.

I have deep ties to the U.K.
Family there too.

We all knew this was going to happen, but still seems like so much is changing now in the world and in our lives, now the always Steady Honorable Queen is going.

“It is little known by the British people that the blood of Mohammed flows in the veins of the queen.”

Was that sentence part of the speech about islam that you quoted without a link or citation?
