He said black athletes are the best because back in the slave days they would pair the most physically fit male with the most physically fit female. Serena’s parents made no secret of the fact that they only kept children in hopes of “breeding an athlete”. Jimmy the Greek was an early victim of cancel culture for making the observation (while drunk and off the record) that slave owners would in fact, do just such a thing—breed people for physical qualifications. It’s in poor taste, agreed, but that hardly diminishes the fact that she was ‘bred for success’ in the words of her own father. They wanted a gravy train, they got one.
