Former President Donald Trump is blasting Joe Biden's prime-time speech, calling it "awkward and angry," and saying the president "must be insane or suffering from late stage dementia."
Trump made his remarks in posts on his Truth Social platform after Biden's Thursday night speech.
He wrote: "Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! If he doesn't want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn't, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!"
He also posted: "If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force. He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!"
In another post, Trump showed side-by-side photos of Biden with both arms raised while making his prime-time speech and of himself kissing the American flag.
In his speech, Biden claimed "MAGA forces" are willing to overturn democratic elections and are "determined to take this country backwards," Reuters reported.
"Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic," Biden said
"As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault. We do ourselves no favor to pretend otherwise."
House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., accused Biden of ignoring crime and inflation to criticize fellow Americans, Reuters noted.
"Instead of trying to bring our country together to solve these challenges, President Biden has chosen to divide, demean, and disparage his fellow Americans," McCarthy said. "Why? Simply because they disagree with his policies."

Not so. He’s not insane. Rather, his baseline was always “stupid,” now with an overlay of dementia
God only knows what “juice” they gave him to be able to stand up long enough to even make this awful speech.

That should be repeated by every politician who faces a mic...keep doing it until the idiot has no choice but to back off. If he doesn’t, he must enjoy acting the fool.
That should be used in every campaign through to the midterms and beyond to 2024.
You nailed it. I think it’s time for America to put the 25th to work for us. Why have a 25th Amendment if we’re not going to use it?
And that goes for all the partisan Demonrats that voted for Biden. They just proved that we will always be divided, and a nation divided cannot stand. Past time to secede!
