Excellent observation. I suspect his handlers had a specific audience for this speech in mind. IMHO, it was geared to the far left to try to soothe their frustration that MAGA candidates in the primaries kept winning, the FBI rad didn’t get the reaction they wanted, etc. and to shift blame.

IMHO they are scared and know Biden is not liked and realize their economy is great...what inflation, etc. remarks aren’t working and need to make excuses early on for any Nov. losses.

My take is that the speech was used to gin up real anger among conservatives, who, if and when Trump is indicted, with outrage on top of anger, will be motivated to riot, at which time the government will go after us.
