10 years? That’s insane, but it was a rat judge and rat jury so it’s what we can expect. They would have executed him if the statute allowed for a death sentence.

These DC-based judges are out-of-control in making examples out of these trespassers, way beyond what the law traditionally calls for. In fact, these overly long sentences are gross violations of the 8th and 14th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution:
Amendment VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
Amendment XIV
No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
