Donald Trump, who said two weeks ago "the temperature has to be brought down" in this country, is raising it to heights that would burst the thermometer.
He’s gone on what we would call an angry tweetstorm, if he was still on Twitter, pumping out three dozen postings and repostings on his far smaller Truth Social app.
Then Trump drops the hammer: "REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner, or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!"

Go MAGA or GFY.
I would rather have Trump than Sniffer. Does this mean that all EOs and Laws by Sniffer are void?
“We have an election coming up in two months and instead of focusing on 2022 and reminding voters of the Dem’s horrible record...”
***********
The Republicans are not focusing on anything. They have no agenda. They are not offering any solutions. Their only “appeal” is that they’re not Democrats.
Its surprising that anyone votes for such a soulless bunch of losers.
Yeah that’s what I think.
The democrats have improved their vote stealing methods.
They don’t need the electorate anymore.
I agree. He’s putting the spotlight on himself and he needs to stop.
It is a matter of moving on because if he can win again he can do a lot to prevent it from ever happening again.
************
You assume that his party will back him. I wouldn’t.
McConnell and McCarthy (in actuality a sock puppet for Paul Ryan) will not fully support Trump’s agenda and objectives if he is elected again.
Independents may well be willing to listen to election reforms moving forward, but they are not interested in the past. And Trump's obsession with that is leading many of them to conclude that he's not fit for office.
Prior to being elected in 1980, Reagan had run on privatizing Social Security, and eliminating or returning to the states Medicare and Medicaid. He learned after he was elected that there was not sufficient support to do that, so rather than beating his head against an unpopular topic and hurting his popularity, he rightly dropped it. He was right on the substance of the issue, but that's not enough. It does no good to waste political Capital that could be used on other issues on an issue that has no chance of succeeding.
Trump does not appear willing to accept that reality, and it is unfortunate.
Please, President Trump: Stop this nonsense.
You are winning. What you are doing clearly impedes your progress and stands clearly and substantially against what is best for this country.
“Trump beat the drum to death until people listened. This is what actual opposition looks like. Very, very uncomfortable. Unfortunately there aren’t more people doing what he’s doing.”
Pursuing voter integrity is very important. We need to tighten up the voting laws and processes - insure conservatives are involved in all aspect of the process from checking signature, vote processing and counting, etc.. But that is not what Trump has been doing - it’s all about him.
I've always thought that's an unfair attack on conservatives, and a bit of a trap if we buy into it. By definition, most of us conservatives don't believe in government solutions in the first place. We believe that people would be better off with much less government intervention, and in particular the federal government taking less of a role in their lives. So, attacking Republicans for not proposing federal solutions to problems is accepting the Democrat framing of the issue. We should not do that.
Opposing Democratic efforts for the federal government, and government in general, to take a greater role in our lives is having an agenda, and it is a solution.
Now, I suppose that may be a point of view that is common among small government conservatives, but isn't as common among conservatives populists. But just because a smaller government approach doesn't address the issues in the way populists might prefer doesn't mean it is not addressing the issues.
“You’re too worried about optics and one election. It doesn’t matter who wins if elections are fixed and votes don’t actually matter. Any politician who will let that slide isn’t going to save the Republic. Giving Mitch power won’t fix anything. You want Trump to just follow along so the Repukes can sneak back into power. You are missing the point, in my opinion. This is so much bigger than one midterm election. This is why we get this garbage politicians. You would rather someone stay quiet and eek out a win and then stay quiet for the next 6 years (since that’s apparently how you get elected). Hard pass”
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! It’s so damn easy to see how the Dems just take over. Pubbies are nadless pussies who just roll up in a ball, whimpering, “please don’t hurt me”!
You cannot move on from a stolen election by having more stolen elections.
Tell that to the rally attendees.
Your FBI put the spotlight on Trump..
Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. The Republican establishment is filled with willing accomplices, rather. We were warned for well over three quarters of a century.
— Communist goal #15
All the Newbys and Asst. Democrats here piling on Trump!! Haha He’s up to something!! Just set back and watch! The Election WAS stolen. We agree on that. Trump doesn’t do stuff like that without reason!!
You’re new here I see.
Sure didn’t hesitate in telling Trump to ‘stop this crap’
DU is calling you home!
Yep, 007 is not so secret a secret agent.
The GOP isn't pushing for that. So...
> He is not stupid so why is he doing this? <
My guess is that the FBI raid pushed him over the edge. That would be understandable. But as others have noted, Trump had given the nightly news an excuse not to cover inflation, the rise in crime, etc. Instead they can talk about the latest nonsense from Trump.
And yeah, I get that Trump is upset. The election was stolen from him, and then his house was raided. But he’s not being helpful here, at all.
