gas_dr, I seem to remember you posted that all the Covid-19 patients you saw were un-vaccinated. Is that still true?
In delta yes. The unvaccinated were the critically Ill
Now? Of course not. I see omicron positive in vaccinated patients. But the thing is the positive I see are incidental findings. I personally do not test unless I have a valid reason that I am gong to treat. I may test a symptomatic patient with 3 comorbities that I think paxlovid or steroid would help
But I refrain from testing just because. It’s ridiculous. And the asymptomatic positives are quite high. So also because of the evolution of the disease to a total nothing burger, I don’t bother to recommend vaccination unless the patient wants it or requests it and has a couple comorbidities.
