It’s a remarkable shift of mood for a party that had been bracing for heavy defeats only a few weeks ago.

President Biden’s party colleagues believe they have a strong chance of holding on to control of the Senate, at least.

That’s partly because Republican candidates are struggling in key states such as Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona.

It’s also because the Democratic Party’s poll ratings in general have ticked up, as have Biden’s. The president recently hit 44 percent approval, the highest point in a year, in a Gallup poll.

There’s also the fact that when the Cold War ended the defense industry, whose employees tend to vote conservatively, shuttered offices or moved out of state. Hard to believe, but California was a net exporter of conservatives once upon a time. The current population, present company excluded of course, is what’s left (no pun intended).

No that's not all, they have mail-in voter fraud.

It's weird that they didn't use voter fraud, which apparently worked for them in 2020, to save their stooge Liz Cheney's seat or to defeat MAGA candidates in the primaries. If I were a Rat party leader I wouldn't leave it up to chance and Biden's sagging popularity.

The massive immigration invasion was not mentioned, the crime wave hitting the country was not mention, the homeless takeover of major cities, neither inflation, the avalanche of drug deaths caused by the drugs coming in from Mexico and China, etc.

The average cost of a new vehicle now is $40,000.

Two words. FREE SH*T!

BINGO!

Free for thee, not for me!

Glad I'm retiring, I'm not paying for their free sh*t anymore.

“There’s also the fact that when the Cold War ended the defense industry, whose employees tend to vote conservatively, shuttered offices or moved out of state. “

This is exactly true. And it was compounded by Sacramento’s ever increasing hostility to business, particularly through AQMD mandates (air quality management district for those outside Cali).

My part of OC used to be heavily populated with aerospace engineering firms. I recall my neighbors relocating to Texas and Georgia as those firms left for friendlier climes. When the big players left so did all of the smaller ancillary firms that supported them. The neighborhoods that they once lived in are unrecognizable.

“California’s demise into a liberal abyss is directly related to its demographic shift from 76% white in 1970 to less than 35% white today. And that’s largely a result of a Third World invasion from Mexico and elsewhere (India, China, Middle East, Central America)”

We aren’t supposed to notice. And when we do we aren’t supposed to talk about it.

Some might remember Rush’s occasional guest host B-1 Bob Dornan.

Bob was one of the “isn’t mass immigration great” Republicans, right up to the day that the changing demographics of his district allowed latina Loretta Sanchez to take his House seat away from him.

There certainly appeared to be some voter fraud involved in that election, but our pals in the Bush wing of the GOP were already putting Mexico first and they weren’t about to help Dornan challenge the election.

It wouldn’t have made much difference anyway, because the flood of immigration continued and that district is now majority latino. And guess what, identity politics and ethnic voting is real, contrary to what Dornan used to think. There’s a reason that the GOP is sometimes called The Stupid Party.

“It is very weird that at the peak of the Reagan Revolution, the left wing west coast resistance was growing and maturing into the behemoth that it is today.”

They sure didn’t meet an ounce of pushback from GHW Bush, Reagan’s great mistake. The other being the 1986 amnesty. Reagan should have dumped Bush in the ‘84 election and taken Paul Laxalt.
