Yeah. A good example of how Trump’s unforced errors distracts from the real issues about the Biden debacle. This will get more air time than the flood of aliens across the border.
And just who is going to report on the border crisis?

Good point. One rule of warfare is never do what your opponent wants you to do.We kinda like it when Trump makes brash comments.
But our Democrat opponents like it much more, for the reason you just stated. They want Trump to continue to give them those juicy sound bites. Don’t do what they want you to do, Mr. Trump.
Sure. We should just shut up about a stolen election. Mentioning the coup is just a "distraction".
Maybe Mitch McConnell, Carl Rove and Liz Cheney can lead us from this point forward, and show us the proper "error" free strategy.
We need to move on from Trump. He is not a smart man (anymore) and he has zero understanding of politics. He did well by us when he was in office but he is way too old now! DeSantis will take the baton and he is liked by way more people. He will win the popular vote as well as the electoral vote in 2024 i predict!
^^^^ This.

Exactly right. Unfortunately, it makes Trump look more batshit crazy. It plays well to the base (just read the comments on this thread), but it will drive Independents and maybe 4% to 5% of Republicans away.
He wouldn’t be Trump without crazy comments like this, though. It’s why so many people love him. But it’s also why so many absolutely hate him. If he had learned some basic statecraft and statesmanship, he could continue to hammer home the problems with elections, the lack of election integrity, the corruption of the FBI causing the election fraud, how Dems used COVID to steal the election, etc without veering off into unconstitutional area of calling for a new election.
The debacle is due to a fixed election. Why not continually remind folks of this simple fact? Whats to stop it from happening again if the spotlight isnt kept on it? If Trumps not going to do it...who is? Fox?
I mean despite his rhetoric, Trump is not wrong. He was robbed and the FBI played a huge part. Is that not worth reminding folks about as well?
Real issue: economy. Everything else ranks a distant second. If the GOP and/or right leaning media cant find a way to put the blame for the dismal economy directly on Biden, even with Trump bloviating, then theyre really not worthy of winning anything.

Both can be discussed at the same time. The MSM isn’t going to cover the overrun border, anyway.
