Trump Calls for New GOP Senate Leader 'Immediately'
Newsmax ^ | Wednesday, 24 August 2022 07:32 PM EDT | By Eric Mack

The long-running feud between former President Donald Trump and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has been simmering for years, but it is starting to reach a boil.

Not only have the midterm primary results been decidedly in Trump's favor vs. McConnell candidates, but now Trump wants "a new Republican leader in the Senate to be picked immediately," he wrote in a pointed Save America PAC statement posted Wednesday to Truth Social.

"The Democrats have Mitch McConnell and his lovely wife, Elaine 'Coco' Chao, over a barrel," the statement began. "He and she will never be prosecuted, as per the last paragraphs of this story, as long as he continues to give the radical left the trillions and trillions of dollars that they constantly demand."

Trump has long rebuked McConnell's weakness in standing up to Senate Democrats' spending and legislative agenda; but with the midterms just a few months away, Trump is now calling for new Republican leadership in the Senate.

"He was afraid to use the 'debt ceiling card' in order to stop the most expensive waste of money in our country's history, to be spent on the Green New Deal, which will only cause one thing, a Depression," Trump's statement trashing McConnell continued. "These expenditures are something our country can never recover from.

"Mitch McConnell is not an opposition leader. He is a pawn for the Democrats to get whatever they want. He is afraid of them, and will not do what has to be done. A new Republican Leader in the Senate should be picked immediately!"

The Federalist story referenced above is headlined: "Trump Is Right. Mitch McConnell And Elaine Chao Spent Decades Getting 'Rich On China.'"

Blackburn just sponsored that insanely stupid and pandering battery bill. She’s no prize in my book.

Trump kept here there even though he knew she and her family were getting wealthy off her. Trump did whatever Mitch wanted.

Like I said, it was a deal to get his judges appointed. Would you prefer that we have more John Roberts types? I think we got the better end of the deal. You do better if you think you can.

Politics is ultimately run by business interests like battery makers that politicians kiss up to so they get a factory in their state.

>Why did Trump make Elaine Chao Secretary of Transportation?

Hubris.

Trump was humbled, and outsmarted by the "Deep State" his first term, since he arrogantly though he could negotiate with them to get what he wanted.

But now he knows what we have known all along, the Federal Government is corrupted beyond salvaging, and must be razed and rebuilt before it destroys or Nation.

Its not just that McConnell is a RINO, its worse.

He’s in the SSCI - Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. A true CIA/FBI/Deep State operative and absolutely anti MAGA. As an example, McConnell made sure Trump had the treacherous Sessions as his AG, which opened the door to 3 years of “Russia-gate” harassment.

I doubt there are 10 GOP Senators opposed to McConnell. Probably not even 5. He is GOP leader because he lets the Senate mavericks roam and almost always do whatever they want.

Smart move to make McConnell the foil. He is universally disliked, a rambling mumbling sickly looking goon…You want to fire up the base, keep it up Mr. President.

I personally would like Trump to go independent. The GOPe is a self enriching circle jerk of incompetent liars that must be shattered.

Biden and the dems just walked all over these clowns to the tune 0f 4.5 trillion in new spending with 5 million illegals thrown in to boot
