His picks are more extreme than other candidates. They may also be a liability
America’s mid-term elections will be decided in part by Donald Trump. It is unusual for a former president to play such a large role in future elections. Mr Trump has endorsed candidates who are loyal to him and shunned the rest. Of the ten House Republicans who voted to impeach him for inciting the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th 2021, four failed to win renomination. The latest was Liz Cheney, of Wyoming, vice-chair of the committee investigating the former president’s role in the attack. Four others chose to retire, leaving just two who may return to Congress next January. Across the country, Mr Trump’s picks have won four in every five races for open seats (see chart). But does that make them more likely to win against their Democratic opponents in November?

Trump endorsed Mitt in 2018.
Before Romney voted to impeach President Trump.
You can be sure President Trump will take Romney out when he is next up for election, just like he just took down Liz Cheney and others. This thread is about {resident Trump endorsements THIS year, not 2018.
“Of the ten House Republicans who voted to impeach him for inciting the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th 2021, four failed to win renomination.”
A damned lie by economist.com .
Out of the ten, two quit, six were defeated and two survived challenges.
So are the RINOs. They are not going to sit back and let 'their' party get taken over by MAGA.
The cheating in the Mid-Term elections will overtake anything we saw in 2020. RINOs and Rats will again join forces, but this time it won't be to beat just one man. This time a whole slew of MAGA candidates must be eliminated.
I pray to God we can out-vote the fraud.
RINOs are just fine and dandy with allowing Rats to steal more elections if it means MAGA gets defeated.
I hate RINOs with a ferocity one should reserve only for Satan. They are pure evil.
So it's Trump's fault for endorsing an establishment guy for the Senate who went against the RINO chosen by Mitch, but at the same time it's Trump's fault for endorsing a MAGA guy for governor??
So are you saying only RINO-endorsed candidates by the Turtle can win?
“We will lose the senate thanks to trump and Pa will have a democratic governor thanks to trump”
And Roe v Wade was overturned thanks to Trump. Just sayin.
Turn in your crystal ball. It’s on the fritz.
“ His picks are more extreme than other candidates”
The very first sentence.
Written by a libtard no reason to read any further it’s an opinion
from what I heard from Bonino they romped the masking school board candidates.
Roe vs Wade isn’t going to be the win you’re hoping for.
John Moolenaar of Michigan. In an R+32 district, Trump endorsed an incumbent with a 58% conservative rating....link attached....

Lots of horrible picks. It’s easy to have a good win/loss record when you pick a sure thing and don’t fight the swamp. He in no way supported grass roots candidates with limited resources. So he gets a win for Huizenga who was unopposed against Upton, Moolenaar running against the sitting Michigan Conservative Union President Tom Norton (Afghanistan combat vet), and a win for Bergman who was unopposed and has a rating worse than Moolenaar. That’s just Michigan.
Except he did.
When President Trump picked Harriet Hageman, she had no resources and was an underdog to the incumbent Liz Cheney,
Hageman went on to CRUSH Liz Cheney by a massive close to 40% with President Trump's support.
The Economist used to actually be a decent highbrow magazine back in the 90s. Around 2003 or 2004 it changed. It became nothing more than a globalist rag.
You’re talking about the general election.
The candidates are loyal to US!!!
To cleanse the party of RINOs may take a few election setbacks, but it has to be done anyway.
Trump would have endorsed Idi Amin if he was running against one of the 10. The majority of his wins are not changes to the base of the party. Bringing the swamp back does little to a movement. If he brought 180 new bodies into DC to replace the swamp.....that would be the greatest show on earth. Keeping the swamp helps the same leadership and committee assignments and the same uniparty into a new session.
I still view him as one of our greatest presidents...if not the best. If he makes it back, he is an instant one term president again and the swamp and their unlimited monies can wait him out. If people want to change the party, start with your school boards, local GOP County party, township offices, county commissions, and up the chain. If you control the base you can effectuate change.
You have no idea what you are talking about. You must be really cut up over Liz Cheney's massive loss.
The majority of his wins are not changes to the base of the party.
Except they are.
