The law allows a few different things but not use for direct personal expenses. You can pay off all your debts from prior campaign, use it to prepare for a future campaign (i.e. put your friends and family on salary as ‘consultants’ and ‘analysts’), give it to another candidate (i.e. buy a government job from them if they win), give it to the party, return it to the donors, donate it to charity (preferably a fake one set up to let you launder contributions and bribes through). They have ways to basically use all the money without directly spending it themselves.
So it’s nothing but more money laundering. Just like Non-Profits. Legal money laundering.
