The Trump administration pressured the Food and Drug Administration, including former FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn, to authorize unproven treatments for Covid-19 and the first Covid-19 vaccines on an accelerated timeline, according to a report released Wednesday by Democrats on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis.

And would that show that the approval was delayed for a political reason, to push against Trump?
Actually it was an amazing con job by Pence.
His CoS told him to play on Trump’s penchant for FEDERALISM.
In case you missed it, Trump was the most Federalist president since Washington, always saying “Congress/States this is your job. Do it. But if you won’t do it, I will.” Of course, they didn’t.
So here comes China Virus and Pence’s CoS tells Pence to push for a “federalist” approach whereby the STATES control the policies. Sounded good. One small problem: no state had medical authorities/expertise/wherewithal to actually do it. So the states immediately turned around and sought out . . . Dr. Fallacy and the CDC/NIH. I guess if you need to blame someone, blame the states.
