The editorial board of the University of Virginia’s newspaper has called to remove references to University founder and Founding Father Thomas Jefferson.

It is time to get rid of the editorial board of the University of Virginia’s newspaper. There is no place for ignorant people attempting to apply their subjective judgment, current values, standards and view of historical events to the past.

There is no place in a university for people to re-write history. They were not there.

There is no place in a university for people to re-write history. They were not there.

They're like all past tyrants who find a way to destroy the history records so only their triumphs will be recorded. Burning their books, writing lies about them.

The idea of a library and a university was originally to preserve----PRESERVE---the records so others could humbly built upon them like scientists who "stand on the shoulders of giants" to go higher.

At the University of Michigan in front of the Clements Library there is a chiseled statement in stone:

In darkness dwells the people which knows its annal not.
