Like Tucker says, GOP leaders are afraid to lead. We have November issues on a silver platter and as of today, McCarthy has yet to announce a national strategy, same for McConnell.

It's easy, have they ever heard of "marketing"?

Sad, when your two leaders have ZERO passion, zero ideas, afraid to take a stand. As MTG said in her spot last night on Tucker, if the GOP can't lead, they don't deserve votes.

“Single greatest self-inflicted wound in history”?
That might be the MOST HYPERBOLIC headline to appear on Free Republic EVER .... EVER .... EVER.
And the list of contenders is long-ong-ong-ong-gong

The Dems fight to retain party power and the GOP fights to retain Mitch’s power.

The GOP has NEVER wanted to run against illegal immigration, BECAUSE THEY WANT IT AS MUCH AS DEMOCRATS!

“Sad, when your two leaders have ZERO passion, zero ideas, afraid to take a stand. “

We both know their passion is money from the swamp. Keeping the “red wave” in check would undoubtably fill their bank account.

Do not rely on the GOP ‘leadership’, such as it is, to do anything that would upset the status quo........................

The GOP would become a powerhouse if they put Stephen Miller as head of the party.

The GOP leadership hates Trump as much as the Democrats do. Of course they are discouraging it. They’d rather lead the minority party than lead a majority party filled with Trump backed candidates.

China Mitch has orders to stand down. Mitch McConnell’s Father-In-Law, James Chao is on the Board of the Bank of China - the Chao Family owns the Foremost Group which has received over $20 BILLION in “investments” from China.

Mitch is owned by his Chinese Masters.

It seems like a no-brainer to campaign on important issues of the day - especially those issues that previous candidates have won bigly on. (Sorry about the poor grammar.)

We’re looking at the ascendancy of globalism. A good recent example is what happened to the Libertarian party: They got off to a great start as pro-capitalism, free trade, deregulation, less taxation. (The first time I registered to vote it was as a Libertarian. The old gal who filed my registration for me gave me a hard look and said, “You’re wasting your vote, honey!”)

Once Libertarianism becomes popular and has some few thousands of people signing up - remember when Libertarians used to wear “dollar sign” jewelry and badges and so on? - the globalists start sending their people in. With money. Pretty soon being a Libertarian is all about open borders and “inclusivity” and now it’s just a crock of sh1t.

This has also happened to the roman catholics: Bit by bit, and then ALL AT ONCE, catholicism becomes a vehicle for MILLIONS of illegal aliens pouring across not just our borders, but the borders of almost every nation - there are only a few nations in Europe who have managed to keep their borders relatively secure. Let’s face it: Europe is toast and the Catholic Church is a big part of the reason why.

Globalism has been working on the GOP for a few generations now, telling Republicans they need to be softer and weaker and kinder and more tolerant. And if anyone has a problem with it: “HERE’S SOME MONEY!!!!” Look how rich old Ms Liz C is getting for doing her part to undermine and destroy the GOP.

I mean, if I was the globalists, I would consider the GOP a fine prize at the end of a long struggle.

One problem is that GOP are supposed to remain straight-acting, family-oriented, religious, and, you know, morally upright. “The Good Guys.” So when the Left comes flailing after us all they have to do is come up with some good blackmail material and they’ve got us. In this day when everyone goes around not only videoing his/her daily activities and most intimate thoughts, but his breakfast, lunch, dinner, workplace, kids and pets, and college shenanigans, nobody has to work to prove that you’re not a good Republican.

(My strategy has always been that when someone starts the “You’re not conservative!” rap with me, I’ll be like “Oh, LOL!!!! You just made me remember the time we went up to Nederland shooting machine guns on the 4th of July! WE WERE SO DRUNK!!! That was the first time I ever shot a machine gun! Ah, the memories! I wish someone had made a video of it!” They usually will go bother someone else after that.)

And, unfortunately, almost every time a Republican wants to criticize someone’s ethics or morality HE GOES AFTER ANOTHER REPUBLICAN instead of a Democrat.

Having some experience with vendettas now, it’s pretty easy for me to see the carrots and sticks employed by globalism to keep the Right under abeyance.

Also: Republicans go after other Republicans because they are scared to death of globalist reprisals, which can be extremely harsh. So they/we start in-fighting and we tell ourselves that we are strengthening our party. And we either enrich ourselves off globalist rewards or walk in terror of globalist reprisals.

One thing one can say about the Democrats: They stick together and tend to make excuses for each other’s bad behavior rather than go on the attack.

I will never make excuses for my bad behavior, but I don’t try to forget things I’ve done that make me feel bad, either. If I was entertaining a run for public office, I would before doing anything else - seeking donations and so on - make a list of things I knew the enemy would try to use against me. I would ask others who knew me to opine on what might go wrong if I was to try to run against a Democrat as a Republican. I would try to make sure somehow my future supporters trusted me to do a decent job in spite of the fact that I’m not the nicest person in the world. (We’re just theorizing here - don’t worry, I wouldn’t run for public office unless we were all sure it was going to save the USA.)

I wouldn’t go in front of other Republicans and claim to be virtuous - I would claim to be competent and to love America. I would show bravery in the face of globalism and organized crime. I would say in my campaign literature and speeches that I love the USA and feel I would do a great job in office, and that what the voters want is good and sane government, and that’s what I would give them. I would say “I am far from perfect, but my love for America is true and undying.” (Which is what I feel carried Donald Trump in the last two elections; he knew a lot of conservatives don’t like him but he MADE them like him, not by pretending to be a virtuous, passive nice guy, but by letting his love show. In this day it may sound stupid to say this, but I believe that love will overcome every evil.)

(And, let’s face it, I’d probably end up as dead as Seth Rich. The GOP may be too far gone to save.)

“GOP leaders are afraid to lead.”

I disagree. They are all in bed together, and they snicker and giggle in private together during their perverted orgies.

These GOP leaders ARE the Deep State. They are the reason we are in the state we are in. If they had balls or morals, they would be pandering to the American public instead of the communist masters and media.
Forget them. Forget them all. You do not negotiate with pinkos in a free society.

Old news but still correct. Republican leadership doesn’t want to lead so it doesn’t. It’s happy with the status quo.

Don’t know if enough of next year’s GOP senators will be elected this fall to swing its GOP caucus away from Mitch. If they’re smart (alas dubious) those running in ‘24 will want to get on the good side of Trump and would support a change. But if the House elections go as hoped there d*mn well should be a majority of GOP reps who want change and should understand that McCarthy ain’t it. They most vote themselves different leadership that demand action, that have the guts to use what power they have even knowing they’ll be demonized by the Democrats and the media. Heck, they’ll be demonized even if they don’t fight, so they might as well do something and run on a record of success. And success does not JUST mean doing a bunch of investigations. The media will down play anything they say and Garland won’t act on any criminal referrals they send. They need to bring back the Congressional jail. Constitutionally THEY run DC, home rule there is a facade that deserves revocation. They can and should take over enough to have prison space for those deserving contempt of Congress charges
