The bigger question is, if its a blowout in the Senate and Democrats pick up a large number of seats (which is looking very possible right now), what does that say about Donald Trump’s national influence? I would say nothing good.

Trump seems more focused on revenge than issues. Perhaps Trump fatigue is setting in among the unwashed masses.

So you don’t believe the 2020 election was stolen? You think Biden really got more votes than Obama’s first term? How naive of you. And doubly naive to think the Dems won’t keep doing it. There were way too many ‘irregularities’ to ignore.

Maybe you should wake up and realize that since nothing was done, not even something as simple as cleaning up voter rolls, the Dems will continue to do what Dems do…….cheat!

Burying your head in the sand and calling people whinesr and cry babies because they know good and well what happened isn’t going to fix anything

Because Trump can’t stop talking about 2020. He’s pathologically incapable of it.

One could argue Nixon had the 1960 election stolen from him. It was certainly way closer than 2020. And Nixon kept his mouth shut, licked his wounds, and even after getting beat in the 1962 California Senate race, he still came back.

I guess they like high gas prices, inflation, high crime, high taxes and illegal immigration. If they vote for a democrat over a republican in general, then those stupid voters deserve what the get. As the saying goes, you can’t fix stupid.

Let me restate it this way. We are now a three party system with two parties ostensibly under the same “GOP” flag.

Democrats-taken by the communist/authoritarians.

McConnellist- under the GOP banner. Known by many names in the past such as Rockefellor Republicans, Country Club Republicans, Compassionate Conservatives, GOPe, etc. (For open borders, war/nation building).

Trumpists- under the GOP banner. MAGA and America First.

The Trump party has a growing and new coalition of middle class, working class, Latino, and even more (not saying much) blacks.

The GOPe detests not Trump, but his voters, They feel the way to win is to rely on their dwindling voter group of suburbanite white upper class voters and to apologize to be democrat lite to attract the rest. The GOPe will broker no support under their banner for anyone that they don’t choose. And to drive that point home, they sabotage those people.

So here in PA and every other state where applicable, their polling outfits will spearhead that effort to build the “we told you so, MAGA sucks” narrative.

Color me skeptical here.

Okay, tell me why I’m wrong other than Trump screwed up.

At this point, Oz is the candidate, Fetterman is terrible are all the Democrats behind him, what about Rafael Warnock or Mark Kelly ??

How many McCains, Romneys and Dole candidates have we been asked to support when they won and most of did, now that establishment candidates are losing, they’ve taken their money and gone home, Oz is probably going to lose but if has any chance at all he needs support

“What a disaster. 2022 was supposed to be a red tsunami.”

Never, ever under estimate the Republicans ability to f*** things up.

Obviously, you missed the point.

When an establishment candidate loses, they take their money and support and go home pouting and in many cases sabotaging the person who won.

When an establishment candidate wins, they demand loyalty and support from everyone for the good the party and nation, I give you Dole, McCain, Romney and many others as examples.

I contend the McConnell wing of the party would rather lose and blame it all on Trump in order to rid the party of him, than win by supporting Trump endorsed candidates who won their primaries.

You’re wrong because you don’t know Pennsylvania.
For Republicans to win, we need a massive turnout and percentage from the center of the state.
This will not happen for a carpetbagging Turkish Muslim.
It’s called Pennsyltucky for a reason.

I”m reminded in this regard of a quote from Bush Sr. after he lost the election. It came from his speechwriter, John Podhoretz who was told by GHW to draft a speech “and I don’t want any of that conservative junk”. But at election time, Old Man Bush spouted that conservative junk, in the hope that the vast majority of the party would vote for him only to completely ignore it for the next four years. His son was much the same way and still is. In VA, there was a senator named John Warner - a dolt if there every was one. Warner schemed to put up a third party R candidate when Ollie North got the nomination for senator from VA and it very narrowly cost North the Senate seat to Chuck Robb, a liberal D. John Warner then went well beyond this when Dem Mark Warner was in danger of losing his VA Senate seat - he actually made a commercial for him! Mark Warner won a very narrow victory against a weak Republican who was apparently too much for John Warner and his Georgetown friends. You are seeing the same thing now in MIssouri where former R Senator John Danforth is orchestrating support for some lawyer who was counsel to the Chamber of Commerce and worked for Bush as an independent to try and defeat AG Schmitt in the Senate race. This is the Liz Cheney wing (more like a wingtip) of the R party who are the useful idiots of the communists who call themselves Democrats.

I remember before the WI primary, this forum was full of "No way can Michels win the republican primary for governor."

Not only did he win, but he won big.

Now it's "No way can Michels win in November."

Trump won PA in 2020. By a lot. They had to bring truckload after truckload of cheat-by-mail-in ballots and keep the 'counting' going for nearly a week to overcome his lead.

If everyone who voted for Trump in 2020 turns out for Oz, he should win and prevent the Senate from turning Rat. Seem like a no-brainer. But then republican voters in GA were pretty brain-dead returning the odious Trump-haters Kemp and Rat-booger, so who knows...

Gotta hand it to the Rats. They fight. They never give up. They never break ranks. They will vote for a pile of stinking poo if it has a (D) after its name.

"The development comes against the backdrop of the social media campaign that Democratic candidate John Fetterman has waged against opponent Mehmet Oz (R) that has sought to portray the celebrity as a carpetbagger from New Jersey who is out of touch with voters."

Which is why running a candidate who is a carpet bagger from another state is always a bad idea. Oz is a terrible choice for a candidate in PA.

For all the faults of Oz, who is he running against, A guy who can’t function because a stroke and is a radical democrat and yet, given your expertise in PA, call him a carpet bagging Muslim....somehow the guy won the primary.

If Oz loses, it won’t be because he’s a carpet bagging Turkish Muslim, it will be because he turned away from the MAGA agenda and the establishment is pouting and pulled their support.

And whatever his faults, Oz is our army

He did not have to be the Republican candidate.

Developing better candidates is essential.
