Authorities erected barricades around the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) headquarters office in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. The bureau claims it has seen an increase in threats against the FBI and its agents in the wake of the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home last week.
Associated Press reporter Mike Balsamo tweeted photos of the new barricades around the FBI headquarters.
“With an increasing number of threats against the FBI and agents, including an armed man who tried to breach a field office in Ohio, officials have put up barricades around FBI headquarters in DC. Similar fencing was put up after the unrest in DC in 2020 & after the Capitol riot,” he wrote.

And they will probably get away with it, as every outrage since 2020 has been met only with grumbling and no effective response: the stolen election, the open border, the Afghanistan debacle, the Jan 6 arrests, etc.
It's as though each debacle was a stress test to test the loyalty of various agencies to the junta, and so far no one is bucking the trend.

The old FBI building had a museum on the bottom floor. When we visited, a docent took us on a guided tour of it. He said that one of the men on the Ten Most Wanted list boasted that he would visit the building one day and take the tour (I never learned whether or not he did).

Imagine having to create a Green Zone in the country that you have to rely on for support.
DC has a bunker mentality, and not going to deny it might be well deserved. Problem is, like the places you point out, what generally comes next is 'unpleasant'. Its not beyond the realm of imagination that the next elections, if they don't have the "correct" outcome per our 'betters', are ignored.
