There should be absolutely no reason for any IRS agent to be armed — ever.

Should a warrant or arrest need to be made, local and federal law enforcement should assist in the delivery or arrest. An IRS agent should merely be sitting in the van while this takes place.

We don’t need more police forces in this country. We have that covered very well — and with recent events — too well…

1 year or 10 years it is completely OUT OF LINE and unnecessary. Blow it off at your own peril.

It IS scary when you know that, in Tax Court, the burden of proof is generally on the petitioner. This means that you need to bring to court evidence, such as documents and testimony of witnesses (you and maybe others), to prove that the determination of the IRS is not correct and that your position is correct.

The presumption of innocence is not guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution. However, through statutes and court decisions–such as the U.S. Supreme Court case of Taylor v. Kentucky–it has been recognized as one of the most basic requirements of a fair trial.

....except in Tax Court.

They are an armed Nat’l Police Force. Doesn’t anyone see that? It will take billions to support that many employees and they will not collect that much annually.

The new police force will be bigger and more powerful and authoritative than all those agencies combined. Now that is NOT funny.

The numbers posted all over the place never made any sense.

As if there are 87,000 unemployed CPAs out there just waiting for the opportunity to go work for the IRS.

These are not net numbers. The IRS employees are old because the agency has been starved of budget for decades. There is a heavy pace of retirement, and these new hires will be replacing retirees. The staffing level is already 15,000 workers lower than it was 10 years ago.

The computers are obsolete, mostly dating from the 1970s. When people submit paper tax filings IRS employees have to input the data by hand because there is no scanning technology there. Buying and implementing new software will make the agency more competent and will reduce errors and inaccuracies at the IRS.

The current audit rate is less than 1/3 what it was in 2010. There has to be a credible enforcement mechanism, or people will simply not pay their taxes. For incomes between 1 and 5 million only 1% get examinations of any kind. This is simply not a credible degree of tax law enforcement.

There is a solution to this impending problem of the IRS sending a multitude of new ARMED Officers “. . . to harass our people and eat out their substance.”

The FAIRtax!

The FAIRtax will replace the Marxist-inspired “progressive” income tax with a simple, easy to understand, easy (and CHEAP) to administer, flat rate National Retail Sales Tax and ABOLISH the IRS!

April 15th will become just another nice Spring day!

Go to https://www.fairtax.org and/or https://www.bigsolution.org to find out how you can help us do that.

We will never be a FRee country so long as we have a Marxist-inspired “progressive” income tax and an IRS!

Exactly. That is just not what is going on. It’s a scare tactic, that is as usual built on less-than-half truths.
