On Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland admitted approving the search warrant that resulted in the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, but aside from that, gave virtually no new information, sticking to DOJ boilerplate. During the brief statement that we waited three days for, Garland not only doubled down on the raid, but gave us no details about why he did so, or the justification for it. Instead, he put the onus on Trump
“The search warrant was authorized by a federal court upon the required finding of probable cause,” Garland said. “The property receipt is a document that federal law requires law enforcement agents to leave with the property owner. The department filed the motion to make public the warrant and receipt in light of the former president’s public confirmation of the search, the surrounding circumstances, and the substantial public interest in this matter.”
With no details on the justification for the raid, it was still anyone’s guess what prompted it. Sure enough, the same day, the Washington Post claimed the FBI agents were looking for classified documents related to nuclear weapons.
Trump responded to those claims Friday morning on his Truth Social platform.
“Nuclear weapons issue is a Hoax, just like Russia, Russia, Russia was a Hoax, two Impeachments were a Hoax, the Mueller investigation was a Hoax, and much more,” he said. “Same sleazy people involved.”
Trump then questioned why the FBI wouldn’t allow an inspection of Mar-a-Lago with his lawyers present and suggested they may have planted bogus evidence.
Earlier in the evening, Trump also called for the release of all documents related to the raid on his home.

Same thing here, they needed an excuse to go in and try and find incriminating evidence...something....ANYTHING.
My guess is they disobey they will fabricate something ANYTHING.

Sounds like the DNC house organ Washington Post is moving towards a Trump as a Bond villain building nukes in the Maro Lago basement narrative. Now all they need do is photoshop Trump petting a cat. Fun story line but not as good as the one with Vladimir Trump frolicking with hookers in a Russian hotel and paying them to soil the sheets while he waits for his meeting with Putin to have him manage his presidential campaign. The Post might want to tone down the Hollywood storylines to something that may be a bit more realistic. Otherwise, the only person that will believe them is Merrick Garland.

This has been my opinion since first reading of the raid. The raid was a cover.
The chickenshit democrats know they are losing and had to have the feds help with a bogus charge to block Trump from running.
He’s already done damage to their chances just by backing people it’s not going to end for the rotting party.
Back in the old days, when SNL was funny, they would have had Trump on as guest host. They could have enacted that scene as a skit, with Yakov Smirnoff playing the part of Putin.
Ratings would be off the charts.

Trumps lawyer that was there during the raid was on Laura Ingrams show last night. She said they wouldn’t even let her wait inside, they made her wait out in the parking lot for 8 hours in the heat.......what a bunch a douchbags.
If President Trump’s lawyers were not allowed in when the DC FBI was ransacking his Mar-A-Lago house, and President Trump was out of town, who knows what “evidence” they planted...
