The FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida is a “sad night for America,” according to Trump’s longtime friend and former attorney Rudy Giuliani.
On Monday, the FBI broke into a safe in Trump’s palatial home and reportedly searched for classified documents he allegedly brought with him from the White House to Mar-a-Lago after his presidency ended — which, if true, could be a violation of federal law.
Appearing on WABC Radio’s “The Rita Cosby Show” Monday night, the former New York City Mayor slammed the raid as “phony” and said it “goes way beyond politics.”

When I see Rudy, the tale of the old woman that took the frozen serpent in and revived him only to be bitten, always comes to mind.
An outgoing president has an army of movers pack and remove his possessions from the White House residential quarters in a matter of hours. President Trump packed nothing himself.
Also, a president can declassify anything he wants to.
Eric Trump said the items were newspaper clippings, notes he and other family members sent to President Trump, etc.

Once again the Department of Justice(sic) and the FBI are proving themselves to be so corrupt in the raiding of a former President's home when they have whitewashed every other crime going on!! It is so pathetic and they are proving that they themselves are what so many people have expected!

The Left has been steadily persecuting conservatives and Trump supporters for a long time and gets no serious push back from the ‘opposition’ party, so naturally they keep doing it.
The Left has absolutely no fear, or even respect, of the Republicans. If you were a Democrat would you care what Republicans say or whine about? Of course not because they don’t really mean it.
Could be a violation of federal law? Risible.
All Trump had to do was point at a stack of boxes and said “All that pile - declassified”.
Suppose they find some classified documents. He kept them in a safe!
Compare that to Mrs. Bill Clinton putting thousands of Secret and Top-Secret documents on an unsecure server. She may as well as hand-carried them to the Kremlin. She faced no consequences.
And Sandy Berger stole Top-Secret documents from the National Archives without consequence. Bill Clinton laughed.
Democrats: "Let them eat cake". It's the double-standard that's going to lead to real trouble.
Trump's argument would be correct. It's an easy argument to make.
A president is the Classifier in Chief of the executive branch.
