How the hell did we go from (relatively) free to under the oppressive thumb of a fascist dictatorship?

In short order I expect presidential restrictions against permanent rule to be swept away, so Obama can finally come out of the shadows.

It happened right here on FreeRepublic in the spring of 2020. It was disturbing to see how many FREEPERS got on here and scolded me for refusing to shut down my business and hide under my bed when that “15 Days to Flatten the Curve” farce was announced.

I think Reagan said something about one generation.

Like many things in life, slowly at first (this traces back to the early 1900,s, before WWI); then suddenly.

Obama is just a bag man. The real power lies with the same 20 or so families that currently rule the world. Our government kowtows to orders from the money in the shadows. The public is the government's chattel property, lied to for purposes of keeping us docile.

Nearly ALL of what is wrong lies at the feet of Congress, the most obvious failed institution of the lot. Every agency save for a handful was created by Congress. Congress pays them and at WORST, it gives a pointless public scolding - which I think is an insincere act too.

Inflation? congress. Wars? Congress. Oppressive Courts? Congress fails to impeach.

You know, banana republic run on the rule of law too. Tells you something about how "valuable" the rule of law is. It's a tool, like a gun, can be used for good or bad.

I'm not going to get anxiety over it. Have better things to do with my life than obsess over a failed government. See you in the camps!

The left has become truly perverse and evil, this administration has willfully submitted to them. Obama radicalized the government, PDJT was successful in spite of them, and now they *must* destroy him as they’re exposed - they know he will destroy all of them if reelected.

IMHO - this is all biblical. Never has the entire world been so small, events known globally and instantly - where the most powerful nation on earth is going to war with PDJT, because he is the biggest threat to their absolute corruption. The demons of D.C. have come out of hiding, this battle is purely righteousness vs. evil.

At this point, nothing like this, at this scale, with the possible consequences, has ever happened. I don’t think that is an exaggeration. If they win global hell will be released.
