That infers Trump did something wrong, and he never did.
That's the party line, and that's great. The reality is that the law around these issues isn't black and white. And let's face it - the large number of unsuccessful lawsuits (in some cases leading to sanctions against Trump lawyers), the alternate electors, the calls to state officials, Pence rejecting electoral slates, 1/6 - Trump was pushing the boundaries. Don't be shocked if Democrats indict Trump - whether it's the DOJ, Fulton County or NYC.
Not saying that Trump should be indicted. But stepping back, if Al Gore took the same steps in 2000, would that be ok? As I recall, even him filing lawsuits was a huge concern.

All Trump was asking for was the same sort of review that Gore was able to get. Gore still lost, and maybe Trump would have too (although I doubt it), but Trump never even got his day in court.

Don’t be shocked? Obviously you haven’t read many of my prolific posts on various threads on FR. I’ve been saying the Dems are going to indict him for weeks, probably months now. I have been one of the first to say this on FR, that they will indict him. See my tagline below.

Had Gore in 2000 been afflicted with the same circumstances as Trump in 2020, you betcha.
But Gore wasn’t similarly afflicted. In 2000 it was close in Florida and nowhere else.
What WASN’T present in 2000 was the 2020 pre-election sovereign fraud via manipulation of voting regulations, massive swing state fraudulent ballot salting and harvesting, dodgy Zuckerbux corruption of carefully targeted local election offices, election shut down in the middle of the night, videos of ballot drops, etc. etc.
Trump did no wrong; if anything he (and especially the sleepy GOP) failed to do enough!
